What customers say
The site receives positive feedback for its friendly and helpful staff, good location, and the heated swimming pool which is a hit with families. Pitches are generally described as spacious. However, recurring concerns relate to the cleanliness and maintenance of toilet and shower facilities, with mentions of overflowing sanitary bins and a lack of toilet paper. Some guests also noted the site and its amenities appear tired and in need of an uplift.

Liked Small friendly site , proximity to resorts, amenities pool and loo / shower , relaxed atmosphere.
Disliked Not the sites fault but on a flight path however no overnight flights . Roads rather noisy again not the sites fault . Some residents left their dogs all day alone to bark which is sad for the dogs and those around .

Getting out alive…
Electric optional grass motorhome pitch
Liked Getting out alive
Disliked 0/5 Stars: Left within 20 minutes to save our lives and limbs.
If you have ever watched Silent Hill or The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and thought, "Gosh, I’d love to holiday there," then Southleigh Manor Holiday Park is the destination for you! For is , it’s a lawless wasteland.
We were thoroughly catfished by the pictures online. Here is a breakdown of our 20-minute descent into madness:
1. The Welcome Committee (or lack thereof)
The "Roads": Driving into the site felt less like a holiday arrival and more like a qualifying round for an X-Games off-roading event. RIP to my Van’s suspension.
Reception: I had to aggressively fight for the attention of the two owners, who were locked in a high-stakes, life-or-death battle of Candy Crush behind the till. Zero enthusiasm. They basically told me to "park anywhere" and left me to fend for myself in the wilderness.
2. The "Amenities"
The Fine Dining: When I asked if they were still serving food, the receptionist didn't speak. She just silently pointed to a sad, dusty shelf of Pringles and Pot Noodles. Bone appétit.
The Pool: I checked out the pool, only to find a woman standing completely still in the dead centre of the water. She didn't move. She didn't turn around. I'm still not entirely convinced she was alive or just a ghost.
The Infrastructure: The electrics are a health and safety officer’s sleep paralysis demon. Bare cables are just casually trailing through the hedgerows like highly flammable vines.
3. The "Locals"
This isn't a holiday park; it's a permanent post-apocalyptic commune. Most of the caravans have sprouted their own DIY sheds and actual chicken coops. But the piece de résistance was our neighbor.
As we pitched up, this intense-looking man stood behind his car, staring daggers at us while aggressively adjusting his trousers. He then proudly stepped out wielding, and I kid you not, a 5-liter bottle filled to the brim with urine. Despite being parked directly next to the toilet block, he marched over to a nearby tree and emptied it. Judging by the fact that the bottom of the tree was completely rotted away, this is clearly his daily spiritual ritual.
Summary:
We realised very quickly that if we stayed the night, we would either wake up being weirdly tickled or neatly chopped up into pieces. We packed up and fled within 20 minutes. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy tetanus and psychological trauma.

From the manager: We are so sorry your very brief stay of 20 minutes was not what you expected. If staff are dealing with other customers online thy cannot be expected to immediately stop.
Park anywhere gives you the option to choose and not be given a pitch you dont like.
There are no chicken coops and the two small sheds are on seasonal pitches for them to store outdoor furniture during inclement weather.
Your references to horror films was amusing to us and clearly something in your mind.
Electric hookups service pitches and comply with all safety requirements.
It is a pity that the person in the pool was unaware of your presence but outside our control if she did not wish to speak.
She needs to stop booking people there if the ground is wet
Electric optional grass motorhome pitch
Liked Nothing it really upset my husband. He has had cancer surgery and we had gone to Cornwall to visit his son and wif
Disliked Only had grass which was not fit to park on with a motorhome. This booking should of been cancelled by the park as they have had five months of rain. We parked on the grass as told to park any where, the consequence of that made us get stuck on the grass and had to call the AA to get us out of the great rutt that had happened as the ground was much too wet to park there. We had to pay £75 to the AA. The owner did not come to see if we where ok. Her brother tried to help.

From the manager: We are sorry to hear about your husband, hope his treatment is helping him.
We only advertise grass pitches on pitchup , when you arrived i did say it would be better if you park on pitch 1 by the toilet block as it has a concrete path, and you didnt . we also did offer to pull and push you out and you declined.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked A lovely quiet site with a very relaxed atmosphere - I could pitch where I liked, and was offered a friendly drink on arrival! The field was very natural and spacious, and the house also had a nice lawn with picnic benches.
Disliked Access is tricky on foot - either a nasty busy road or a wild footpath across fields.

Told if we'd asked they would have given us extra pillows!
2 bedroom static caravan
Liked St Columb Major
Disliked No heat in caravan on a very cold few days Slept in our clothes. Gas fire didn't work in lounge and radiator in bedroom totally ineffective. Gas had to be added first day. Had stayed in the summer and it was fine. Not prepared in April.
Left early.

From the manager: Hello sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us.
I am slightly confused as no one had asked us for extra pillows ?? And if you needed extra pillows why did you not use the ones in the twin bedroom or ask you had my mobile number and messaged me about the gas fire , tv and was always glad to help !!
We replaced the gas bottle and the other one had not ran out fully you said nothing was working but when we came down to check the cooker worked and the hot water and the gas fire ??
I do know you was having problems with using a lot of our facilities like the tv and I did offer that if you had problems with the gas fire I would send down a couple of electric fires but heard nothing off you.
I am sorry you was cold but there was things we could of put in place to make you warmer.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch
Liked Sarah was very friendly and helpful and helped us have a great stay. We were accommodated with using an electric point as we were thoroughly soaked with the appalling weather.
Disliked Unfortunately due to the weather the toilet shower block was muddy and had lots of grass cuttings on the floor, not much they could do about it.
