  • Family-run park in north Cornwall, a 10-minute drive from beaches
  • Five miles from restaurants and harbour in Padstow
  • Minimal electric lighting to give dark skies for stargazing
It's quiet, rural and in a secluded setting, but you're actually jolly well connected when you park up at Yonder Green Caravan Park. This small, peaceful and family-run touring park in St Ervan is only a few miles from some of north Cornwall's finest beaches (Porthcothan and Constantine Bay among them), five miles from Padstow (where you may have heard there's another fine beach), and 10 from Newquay (where you may have heard there's fine foaming surf). Other top tourist attractions are accessible via the A39 five miles away. For food, several village pubs are within a couple of miles, and it's a 10-minute drive to the famed restaurants of Padstow, where there's also a farm shop and a large supermarket. Dogs are welcome on site and can be taken on walks on a path running from just outside the gates.

Electric grass touring pitch (tents not permitted)

Liked: Quiate, the time I was there I only saw 2 other campers, nice size pitch, would have liked to see a few more occupied pitches??

Disliked: Lack of interaction from the owners, no welcome as such, in fact I didn't see the owner until the end of my stay, by this time I was ready to leave, I've visited many sites and even worked on many as a campsite warden, and a little interaction with the paying cliontel goes a long way, infact it's the main part of the Campsite, I don't expect any special privalages, just to feel welcome, I'm afraid I didn't feel welcomed at all 🤔

From the manager: Many thanks for your comments.we think a 4 is extremely harsh I personally met you at the gate when you arrived and welcomed yo and asked if you had had a good journey,. I then said you were welcome to choose any pitch and showed you how to park on the pitch re fire regulations. I also said if you needed anything please ask. My husband walks around the site several times a day, cleans the toilet block and checks all is ok and speaks to people as the previous reviews will verify. Unfortunately despite several attempts at catching you to speak and make sure all is well you were not visible at all. Perhaps because you also had the travelling dirt cover over the front window of the caravan fitted all the time you were onsite you didn't see us wandering around frequently.and also maybe because the weather was not the best? My husband likes nothing better than a natter with people but we do not actively knock on van doors as some people do not want to interact which we perfectly understand.. Andy and Nicky (Owners)

Local attractions

Camels of two types are available within 10 minutes' drive of the site: the Camel Creek Adventure Park at Tredinnick near Wadebridge, and the start of the car-free and flat bike path the Camel Trail, running for 18 miles from Padstow to Wadebridge and on to Bodnin. If you're staying close to sea and coast, learn the ropes of Cornwall's watery sports at the Newquay Watersports Centre half an hour away, or mosey around town to take the kids to Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Further along the coast, Portreath (45 minutes' drive) is another fably foamy surfing spot as well as a tiptop starting point for hikes to Godrevy (eight miles west) or Porthtowan (six and a half miles east). For day trips, famed Cornish attractions like the National Trust-owned Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are each an hour away, and boat trips on the River Fal from Falmouth are just over an hour's drive south.
