  • Family-run park in north Cornwall, a 10-minute drive from beaches
  • Five miles from restaurants and harbour in Padstow
  • Minimal electric lighting to give dark skies for stargazing
It's quiet, rural and in a secluded setting, but you're actually very well connected at Yonder Green Caravan Park. This small, peaceful and family-run park in St Ervan is only a few miles from some of north Cornwall's finest beaches (Porthcothan and Constantine Bay among them). It's also only five miles from Padstow (where you may have heard there's another fine beach), and 10 from Newquay (where you may have heard there's fine foaming surf). Other top tourist attractions are accessible via the A39, which is five miles away. For food, several village pubs are within a couple of miles, and it's a 10-minute drive to the famed restaurants of Padstow, where there's also a farm shop and a large supermarket. Dogs are welcome on site and can be taken on walks on a path running from just outside the gates.

What customers say

This is a peaceful, well-maintained campsite with friendly, helpful owners. Guests rave about the large, level sites and clean facilities, especially the hot showers. Though basic, it's ideal for a quiet break and exploring local attractions. Some noted intermittent Wi-Fi and dated facilities. Recommended for tranquility over extensive amenities.

From the manager: We are sorry you didn't like our small family site,
As you were here for an overnight stop only and arrived after 5pm we unfortunately missed you too welcome you onsite even though we did walk around about 8pm, again at 10 pm and again at 8am the following morning. At these times the facilities are checked and they were clean and tidy and up to standard and as you can read from our other reviews we have an excellent cleanliness standards. We have 4 toilets and 2 showers for a total of 13 pitches used at any one time. There were only 3 pitches using the facilities the night you were here so plenty for the few people onsite.
There is plenty of information onsite and we clearly state there is no WiFi on site, on booking with pitchup and in the information area. We do suggest in future if it is important to you that you check before booking anywhere that it is available. There is a 4g phone signal on site which is a bonus for rural Cornwall!
There is also a lovey dog walk with a map on the wall in the information area and listed in the book to exercise your pet, perhaps you missed it.
All the best with your travels Andy

Liked Large pitch, friendly welcome, very quiet. The shower was huge with plenty of hot water that stayed on the whole time.

Disliked The sinks were in the toilet cubicle. It would have been nice to have separate sinks for brushing teeth / washing.

Liked Everything about this site was nice. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The washrooms and showers were very clean. Site pitches are large so you dont feel onto of your neighbour. They even had a washing machine and clothes line! Good place for visiting parts of Cornwall. Will return another time.

Liked Perfect location, very quiet only 3 miles from Padstow Harbour, laid back owners, you pick your own pitch, showers/toilets were very clean, for a small fee washing machine to use on site, definitely would recommend 👍🏻

Level clean pitches, quietest site we have ever stayed on.
Fantastic location close to plenty of beaches, coves and nearby towns to explore. Will definitely return! Host was also very friendly and accomodating, always checking the site and made you feel you were kn a safe and secure site. Lovely fella!
Thank-you!

Disliked Nothing.....yes phone signal could be hit and miss but we were on holiday and enjoyed the limited screen time and each others company - parents with two teens 17/15yr olds so this can be rare!

Local attractions

Camels of two types are available within 10 minutes' drive of the site: the Camel Creek Adventure Park at Tredinnick near Wadebridge, and the start of the car-free and flat bike path the Camel Trail, running for 18 miles from Padstow to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin. If you're staying close to sea and coast, learn the ropes of Cornwall's watery sports at the Newquay Watersports Centre half an hour away, or mosey around town to take the kids to Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Further along the coast, Portreath (45 minutes' drive) is another fably foamy surfing spot as well as a tiptop starting point for hikes to Godrevy (eight miles west) or Porthtowan (six and a half miles east). For day trips, famed Cornish attractions like the National Trust-owned Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are each an hour away, and boat trips on the River Fal from Falmouth are just over an hour's drive south.
