  • Family-run park in north Cornwall, a 10-minute drive from beaches
  • Five miles from restaurants and harbour in Padstow
  • Minimal electric lighting to give dark skies for stargazing
It's quiet, rural and in a secluded setting, but you're actually very well connected at Yonder Green Caravan Park. This small, peaceful and family-run park in St Ervan is only a few miles from some of north Cornwall's finest beaches (Porthcothan and Constantine Bay among them). It's also only five miles from Padstow (where you may have heard there's another fine beach), and 10 from Newquay (where you may have heard there's fine foaming surf). Other top tourist attractions are accessible via the A39, which is five miles away. For food, several village pubs are within a couple of miles, and it's a 10-minute drive to the famed restaurants of Padstow, where there's also a farm shop and a large supermarket. Dogs are welcome on site and can be taken on walks on a path running from just outside the gates.

What customers say

A peaceful, tidy park with roomy, flat spots and top blokes running it. Amenities are clean, if a bit old-school. Great country location near Padstow & beaches. Spotty WiFi is a plus for a break from screens. Most raved about the owners, but a few had grumbles.

Liked Great location for a family of 4. Lots of space on the pitch and lovely and quiet. Facilities were good - shower rooms nice and spacious to get little ones ready in as well as being hot and constant.

Liked This little campsite is lovely, quiet and peaceful, the facilities were small, simple but clean and we never waited for showers or toilets in the week we were here. Washing up facilities were good, Washing machine to use ( though we didn’t use it on our stay)
The pitches were plenty big enough, and nice and flat! We did enjoy our stay here.
Very dark at night which is lovely to see the stars and very little light pollution. It was perfect to kick back and relax.
We love Cornwall and it was a good location to access Padstow/Newquay areas. The road in was narrow but nothing as bad as previous places we’ve visited. The lodges looked really nice on site too.
I genuinely didn’t want to pack up to go home, we left the night before we’d planned to go home due to the weather being very wet during the night and packing down a damp tent the following morning.

Disliked On arrival - after a 6 hour +, 33degrees heat (no aircon) travel from the midlands, I was greeted with
“Firstly, you can’t park your van there”
Which I thought was quite unwelcoming. We were happy we had arrived safely, we’d read the board for the pitch number and, as our campervan attaches to the tent we have to unpack everything before we can position where we are. We don’t usually bring the car so that was extra to our usual “travel setup” -I’d just reversed the camper on out of the way. I was under the impression from communication via email the car might have had to be parked elsewhere during our stay.
I 100% appreciate it’s been a very dry few weeks and the fire risk is very high, and the rules regarding spacing between pitches, I was taken back by being spoken to quite abruptly. It took the shine off the start of our stay if I’m honest. First impressions are very important and I thought it could’ve been friendlier and more welcoming. We’ve always followed rules regarding campfires and bbqs and quite frankly I don’t want a burnt down campervan and tent as much as you don’t want a burnt field.

From the manager: Many thanks for taking the time to write a lovely review. We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay with us.
We apologize profusely if came across a bit abrupt we certainly didn't mean it to sound that way. We were very very busy with arrivals when you visited and needed to make sure everyone has the correct spacing in these circumstances with the fire warnings around because of the dry weather and field fires just down the road from us . Some visitors were not as understanding as you were and we were making sure everyone understood the severity of the situation. Hopefully we will see you again in the future.
All the best Andy 😁

Small site but you do get some good room to use.
Owner on site is a nice guy.

Disliked The rule where you have to park in a certain fashion on the ground you rented.
Seems a bit daft.
But rules are rules.

The hum from the transformer.
It did keep me up but the guy next to me said he didn't hear it.
So I guess its either you hear it or you dont kinda thing.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Many thanks for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately the spacing in the pitches is solely due to fire regulations and keeping you safe.
Hum from transformer?. We have none onsite, so perhaps it was an off-site noise you heard
All the best. Andy.

Local attractions

Camels of two types are available within 10 minutes' drive of the site: the Camel Creek Adventure Park at Tredinnick near Wadebridge, and the start of the car-free and flat bike path the Camel Trail, running for 18 miles from Padstow to Wadebridge and onto Bodmin. If you're staying close to sea and coast, learn the ropes of Cornwall's watery sports at the Newquay Watersports Centre half an hour away, or mosey around town to take the kids to Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Further along the coast, Portreath (45 minutes' drive) is another fably foamy surfing spot as well as a tiptop starting point for hikes to Godrevy (eight miles west) or Porthtowan (six and a half miles east). For day trips, famed Cornish attractions like the National Trust-owned Lanhydrock House and the Eden Project are each an hour away, and boat trips on the River Fal from Falmouth are just over an hour's drive south.
