  • Friendly family-run Cornwall farm site 20 minutes' drive from Newquay
  • Take a bus or a five-minute drive to Padstow and its stunning beach
  • Food served mornings and evenings; secure dog walking field available
You’ll have a tough time choosing between Cornish ice cream and fish and chips when you touch down at Padstow View Campsite in Cornwall. Pitch up at a peaceful farm site with estuary views… and use it as your gateway to sandy beaches, harbour towns and the Cornish countryside. Within a short bus journey or five-minute drive of Padstow (and also within walking distance), this friendly site welcomes families and dogs (with an exclusive-use dog-walking field for the latter). It's also only a 20-minute drive from Newquay. The showers on site will help rinse away any sand picked up visiting the seven bays within 10 minutes’ drive (including Trevone Bay, Constantine Bay, Porthcothan Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivy’s Bay and Harlyn Bay); there are toilets and a washing-up area on site for guests' use as well. Phone charging lockers are available for powering your gadgets (with wifi available and a decent 4G signal too), and there are plugs on hand for small appliances like hairdryers. When not at the beach, while away your day hiking or cycling around the country trails and coastal paths. Walk directly to Padstow or catch a regular bus from the site. In Padstow, boats are on hand for angling or beach hopping and Rick Stein’s famous seafood recipes can be sampled at several restaurants. Good day out at sea? Bring your catch back to the site, where barbecues are allowed. There's a shop on site with essentials and delicious food is served every night on site. On the morning menu are fresh coffee, cakes and fresh locally sourced bacon rolls. Handily, there are also several pubs and restaurants (including a dog-friendly pick) within a five-minute drive and a farm shop a couple of minutes' drive away.

What customers say

This family-run campsite receives consistent praise for its exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, particularly Judith. Visitors highlight the stunning views, clean facilities including hot showers, and convenient on-site amenities such as a coffee van and popular pizza trailer. Its location is considered ideal for exploring nearby beaches and Padstow. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention occasional road noise or showers being small.

Harlyn bell tent

Liked Amazing location looking out across Padstow. Excellent facilities, showers. loos, onsite food with excellent menu and fair prices, lovely friendly site including staff. I was visiting my children and granddaughter who live in Cornwall and was allowed visitors. We only stayed one night in a lovely bell tent which my granddaughter loved. Will definitely be back next year for a longer stay.

Thank you.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Stayed at Padstow View Campsite again and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The campsite is beautifully situated with stunning views over the surrounding countryside and down towards the coast. The location is ideal, just a short drive from the charming town of Padstow, which offers plenty of shops, restaurants, and activities.

The facilities at the campsite were excellent. The shower and toilet blocks were spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of hot water and spacious, clean cubicles. There were also convenient washing-up areas and a small shop on-site for any essentials you might need. A little Pizza place on-site also offers food for the evening.

Very welcoming arrival as always! Friendly staff always willing to help and go the extra mile.

This is the 3rd year staying here and I’ll be back next year!

Liked This is the third time we have been back here, we love it so much, it is a family run campsite, it has everything you need a little shop, ice block freezing, somewhere to charge your phone, it has a drink and breakfast wagon and evening pizza wagon, Judith is lovely, friendly and really welcoming. Atmosphere is great and everyone respects each other especially at night, the bathrooms are very clean and tidy

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Best campsite we've ever been on. Great for families, kids and dogs.

The owners/staff are so friendly and onsite 24/7 and very very hospitable and kind. They clearly love what they do and are passionate on ensuring you enjoy your stay.

Very clean facilities and spacious showering rooms. They are regularly checked throughout the day and cleaned probably 4-5x/day which is no wonder that they are always well stocked with soaps and toilet paper.

Excellent onsite food facilities like hot freshly made pizzas from 6pm-9pm daily with decent prices, onsite coffee/hot drinks cart making fresh hot chocolate, latte, cappuccinos, iced matcha, iced coffee, fruit shakes and milkshakes etc
Has a little shop selling ice cream, amenities for things you have forgotten eg. toothbrush, shower gel etc and canned drinks as well as a free freezer for freezing your ice packs.

They also supply ice packs for 10p/day if you forgot to pack some!

They also offer yurt tents (already built) if you can't be bothered to bring a tent or need some extra space.

Very close to Padstow and nearby local beaches. Lots of activities to do nearby but will need a car. Only half an hour drive from Eden Project.

There is also a dog field directly opposite the campsite if your furry friends need to let off some steam.

Onsite wifi available for free.

Amex payments accepted onsite.

Disliked Nothing. Probably that our stay was too short!

Not a dislike but rather a fact that you do need a car to get around.

Harlyn bell tent

Liked Stayed in the Harlyn Bell Tent:
Comfy beds,
Plenty of space for a family of 4,
Facilities great,
Lovely and clean site,
Options of pizza and coffee and honesty shop,
Close to Padstow and Wadebridge

Recommendations:
- Saltbox restaurant and bar in Wadebridge super laid back with lots of choice!
- Location amazing for beaches…Trevone (walk down coast to left for the Tinker Bunny Bathing Pool and rock pooling) and Hawkers cove were great, along with Lusty Glaze at Newquay for more of a party vibe - check website for DJ sets 🎶
- Retallack for the surf simulator!
- Eden project less then 30 mins away

Disliked How far it is from home!! 🤣

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Friendly campsite. Jude and staff were so welcoming and helpful. Excellent on site facilities (food/coffee/pizza van/shop/phone charging). Toilet/shower facilities clean and with hot water. Plenty of space to choose your pitch. Lovely views overlooking Padstow and only a short drive away. Wadebridge is around 10min drive away with a tesco/aldi/lidl for any supplies needed. Definitely recommend to others and we'll look to go back again

Disliked It would be handy to have some hooks inside the shower area to hang clothes/towel etc rather than piling them up on the fold out seat. Our last 2 nights, some guests on the other side of the field were still playing music after the 10pm curfew, not a huge issue for us as we were further away and our kids aren't that young, but would've been annoying had we been pitched closer to them.

Local attractions

Don’t forget to pack your walking gear… the 18-mile Camel Trail begins in Padstow or Wadebridge (both within 10 minutes’ drive) and there are trails all over the local heritage coast (several within 15 minutes) or a different type of adventure underground at Carnglaze Caverns (40 minutes). The sea is your playground here, too. Boats wait at Padstow Harbour (five minutes) to whisk you out to sea for angling or wildlife spotting… keep your eyes peeled for seals, dolphins, puffins and basking sharks. A ferry can also take you across the river to Rock (otherwise 25 minutes’ drive) for a laidback afternoon. Kids are likely to enjoy the steam railway ride at Lappa Valley (25 minutes) or the animals and rides at Camel Creek Adventure Park (five minutes). As for adults, they can unwind with a meal or wine tasting at Trevibban Mill Vineyard or take a gin tour at Tarquins distillery (both five minutes away). Upgrade from a bodyboard to a surfboard at one of several surfing spots in the area. For newbies, there’s a surf school at Harlyn Bay (10 minutes) or more daring swells at Newquay (20 minutes) and Fistral Beach (30 minutes).
