You’ll have a tough time choosing between Cornish ice cream and fish and chips when you touch down at Padstow View Campsite in Cornwall. Pitch up at a peaceful farm site with estuary views… and use it as your gateway to sandy beaches, harbour towns and the Cornish countryside. Within a short bus journey or five-minute drive of Padstow (and also within walking distance), this friendly site welcomes families and dogs (with an exclusive-use dog-walking field for the latter). It's also only a 20-minute drive from Newquay. The showers on site will help rinse away any sand picked up visiting the seven bays within 10 minutes’ drive (including Trevone Bay, Constantine Bay, Porthcothan Bay, Treyarnon Bay, Booby’s Bay, Mother Ivy’s Bay and Harlyn Bay); there are toilets and a washing-up area on site for guests' use as well. Phone charging lockers are available for powering your gadgets (with wifi available and a decent 4G signal too), and there are plugs on hand for small appliances like hairdryers. When not at the beach, while away your day hiking or cycling around the country trails and coastal paths. Walk directly to Padstow or catch a regular bus from the site. In Padstow, boats are on hand for angling or beach hopping and Rick Stein’s famous seafood recipes can be sampled at several restaurants. Good day out at sea? Bring your catch back to the site, where barbecues are allowed. There's a shop on site with essentials and delicious food is served every night on site. On the morning menu are fresh coffee, cakes and fresh locally sourced bacon rolls. Handily, there are also several pubs and restaurants (including a dog-friendly pick) within a five-minute drive and a farm shop a couple of minutes' drive away.

Campeggio accogliente e ben gestito con ottimi servizi e viste mozzafiato. Ospiti lodano l'accoglienza calorosa dei proprietari, in particolare Judith. Apprezzati i servizi come il furgone caffè e pizza. Bagni puliti. La strada vicina non disturba l'atmosfera pacifica e rilassata. Altamente raccomandato.

Mi è piaciuto Friendly welcome,great facilities with toilets,showers,small shop and a selection of lovely hot food on site.
The site itself is well looked after with great views,just down the road from the beach and close to a supermarket and Padstow harbour.
This was our 2nd time there and will hopefully be going back next year.

Tenda campana Trevone

Mi è piaciuto The staff especially the owner could not have been more lovely.
The facilities were basic but just what you need - when I say basic I mean as it’s a small family run campsite what is does have is very nice.
My son had some lovely pancakes from the coffee/food hut and I enjoyed a warm and tasty coffee along with my husband.

Non mi è piaciuto The showers in the additional block in the AM dispensed very cold water and it took quite some time for the hot water to come through. The shower button once pressed does not last long before further pressing is needed.

Mi è piaciuto Great location with an amazing view of the rolling hills and Estuary.
Shower & toilet facilities were clean and well maintained.
The on site coffee & breakfast bar along with a small shop & pizza van was a welcome delight that we extended our stay another night.
The staff at the camp site were wonderful and very helpful and we’ll certainly be coming back

Mi è piaciuto Staff / owner super friendly and accommodating. Great location, facilities are great, showers are warm! Small amenity / essentials shop on site, pop up cafe for morning coffee and breakfast, pizzas available in the evenings for when you want that night off from cooking.

Mi è piaciuto Great views, easy access (no long windy Cornish lanes or farm tracks) very nice food options on site, clean facilities and very friendly owners/staff.

Non mi è piaciuto It wasn't really a problem, but I'm always a little anxious about completely free choice of unmarked pitches. To be clear, here it worked out well for us allowing us a lot of space. I have known it to be a problem at other sites where the owners allowed frankly too many people in. If you're the sort of camper who would prefer to unambiguously have "your" pitch you might want to be aware of this, but we were here for a hot (but not overly so) weekend in August so if it wasn't actually a problem for us it's unlikely it will be at other times either.

Mi è piaciuto You won’t find a better campsite in Cornwall for this price! Great location, beautiful views, clean facilities, excellent food and drink options on site and large spacious plots. Judith and family have done a great job getting it to this standard. It’s a pop up campsite but looks, feels and operates like a regular site. Fantastic.

Don’t forget to pack your walking gear… the 18-mile Camel Trail begins in Padstow or Wadebridge (both within 10 minutes’ drive) and there are trails all over the local heritage coast (several within 15 minutes) or a different type of adventure underground at Carnglaze Caverns (40 minutes). The sea is your playground here, too. Boats wait at Padstow Harbour (five minutes) to whisk you out to sea for angling or wildlife spotting… keep your eyes peeled for seals, dolphins, puffins and basking sharks. A ferry can also take you across the river to Rock (otherwise 25 minutes’ drive) for a laidback afternoon. Kids are likely to enjoy the steam railway ride at Lappa Valley (25 minutes) or the animals and rides at Camel Creek Adventure Park (five minutes). As for adults, they can unwind with a meal or wine tasting at Trevibban Mill Vineyard or take a gin tour at Tarquins distillery (both five minutes away). Upgrade from a bodyboard to a surfboard at one of several surfing spots in the area. For newbies, there’s a surf school at Harlyn Bay (10 minutes) or more daring swells at Newquay (20 minutes) and Fistral Beach (30 minutes).
