  • Quiet, spacious site just over 10 minutes’ walk from Padstow harbour
  • Walk to the South West Coast Path, the Camel Trail and the Saints’ Way
  • Dog-friendly and family-friendly; supermarket two minutes’ walk away
Heading to Padstow and keen to find a peaceful place to stay? Take a look at Padstow Campsite, in a fantastic spot just over 10 minutes’ walk from Padstow harbour and the ferry to Rock. This location is an excellent one for giving you a bit of quiet rural space while still putting you within easy reach of the buzz of Padstow town centre, with its pubs, restaurants and activities including sailing, watersports, sea safaris and fishing. Even more handy is the fact that a large supermarket is a couple of minutes’ walk away, making it easy to stock up on snacks, drinks and barbecue supplies. The spacious grass pitches at this family-run pop-up site are based on Trevethan Farm, and they’ve got lovely views across the estuary and the surrounding countryside. Facilities include showers and toilets, and the site is both family friendly and dog friendly. Good news for the keen walkers among you – there are plenty of trails within walking distance, including the South West Coast Path, the Camel Trail and the Saints’ Way. Handily for those hoping to leave their car in one spot, the farm is also within walking distance of local bus routes to destinations like Wadebridge, Newquay and Bodmin. Craving a beach day? The site is a short drive from several popular local beaches, including Trevone Bay (five minutes’ drive away) and Harlyn Bay beach (10 minutes).

What customers say

This campsite offers exceptional views and a friendly welcome from the owners, who are described as hard-working and helpful. Facilities, particularly the toilets and showers, are consistently praised for their cleanliness and ample hot water. The location is a major highlight, being within a short walking distance of Padstow and conveniently next to a Tesco supermarket. Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Great views. Perfect location as Tesco is next door (you cant tell from camp site) and short walking distance into Padstow. Shower, toilet and washing up facilities are plenty and superbly clean. Site owners are very helpful and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed camping here!

Disliked Sloping camp site - although we expected this as it’s hilly everywhere in Cornwall! We managed to pitch on the edge where there was only a slight slope so not a problem for us.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The best views of any campsite I've been to. This is just what I needed for some peace and tranquility away from the city and the owners are great. They couldn't have been more helpful, from communications before arriving, to the welcome, and the info and local area tips whilst there.

Toilets were spotlessly clean, nice flat pitches.
100% would recommend and I will definitely be booking again.

Local attractions

Padstow itself is quite the attraction, of course, with visitors flocking here to try out the seafood restaurants, visit the National Lobster Hatchery and book mackerel fishing trips, speedboat adventures or dolphin-spotting boat trips. You can also board the ferry to Rock from here, or bring bikes to cycle along the Camel Trail to Wadebridge. This place is also a handy base for all sorts of other attractions around the area, including Cornish Birds Of Prey (10 minutes’ drive), the Eden Project (half an hour), the cute fishing village of Port Isaac (half an hour), Bodmin Jail Attraction (half an hour) and Tintagel Castle (45 minutes). There are beaches galore, too – take your pick from the surf hotspots of Polzeath and Newquay (both half an hour), dramatic and rocky Bedruthan Steps (15 minutes) or more tucked-away spots like Hawker's Cove (10 minutes), Constantine Bay (10 minutes) and Treyarnon Bay (15 minutes). And if you can’t get enough seaside scenery, there’s always the option of a walk on the South West Coast Path too…
