  • Spa, fishing lakes, heated pool and a range of bars and restaurants
Book a coastal Cornish stay at Trevornick Holiday Park, set up to cater for the whole family: this well-equipped site will accommodate you doing as much (or as little) as you please on holiday. Alongside luxury necessities including toilet/shower blocks, family bathrooms, a launderette and a grocery shop, Trevornick has a wide range of extras for all ages such as an outdoor heated pool, a Jacuzzi, a toddlers' pool and a tranquillity spa. Tee off on the 18-hole pitch and putt and par-three golf courses, soak up views of the beach made famous by BBC’s Poldark, and try your hand at the miniature golf course… or sit back at one of Trevornick’s fishing ponds: there are two to try your luck at. Dogs are catered for at Trevornick too: all accommodation types have dog-friendly options, and dedicated on-site facilities include a dog-walking field and a dog wash shower station. It's always worth taking note of what facilities are open during the different seasons here, as things vary according to the time of year. If you go during peak time, book yourself into the Tranquility Spa for a treatment (or two)… the kids won’t even notice you’re gone while they're at the forest trail with its underground tunnel and zipwire.

Electric grass pitch (no pets)

Liked Spacious pitches and clean, spacious site with lots of wide open green areas, so we never felt hemmed in like we have at other places.

Staff are universally friendly even in the height of summer.

Stunning views from Woodys restaurant over Holywell Bay, with good mini golf and OK food at Woodys. Good selection of drinks.

The shack/ice cream hut were good for morning bacon and egg rolls, and the woman who worked each side of the Shack was the stand out for me, just lovely.

The onsite shop is pretty good. We (I) forgot to pack pillows and duvets! I thought there would be no chance of finding anything onsite but I managed to buy two large/double sleeping bags. We managed a night without pillows and got them from Argos in Newquay the next day just a short drive away.

The onsite hire shop was pretty good too and a useful addition.

The pool was big and the entry system worked although I think you should cut the slots down to 1hr 15 minutes so new slots can be given every 1.5 hours instead of the current 1hr 50 minutes. I think this would give everyone more chance of getting a pool slot at a time to suit them. No complaints about the pool itself - it was clean and big and popular.

We tried the onsite takeaway fish and chips and even though they were all very friendly, I’m sorry to say the quality was extremely poor. Such a shame but not a deal breaker - we just knew not to revisit.

Loos and showers were clean and the showers were powerful. Although a pet peeve of mine is that the sanitary bins and loo roll dispensers are always positioned in such a way that a woman can barely open her legs wide enough to wipe - and the loo roll dispensers are so close to the loo that you can’t move your arms. I think we all know who designed these cubicles. When it comes time to refurbish them could you (and every other hospitality establishment in the world with WC facilities) please invite an actual woman to help design the layout!? Having said that the cubicles at the pub and downstairs at the farm house were much roomier, it was really the shower block cubicles that were problematic.

The arcade was pretty run down and I really really wish arcades would ban this ridiculous wasteful ticket system. Minus points.

I liked the fact there is a little food court with different food trucks from the local area coming each evening although felt hugely sorry for the Fire Pit guy who barely seemed to sell a thing when we were there even though the food looked incredible. Perhaps a bit too up market for the clientele. Had we not already had the misfortune of eating at the takeaway we would have definitely tried this, but he was only there for one night.

Which brings me to my final point. The clientele. We didn’t encounter any physical aggression but being directly next to two large families with kids screaming until 11pm and loud and obnoxious adults screaming drunken profanities all night was a real bummer. They also constantly walked through our pitch right next to our tent, who does that!? Which my daughter found intimidating and I found incredibly annoying.

We’d planned to go to the kids bingo on our last night which my daughter had been looking forward to all week (and I’d agreed to as I knew she’d like it) but when we arrived we were told it was cash only. We hurried to the shop to find a cash point or get cash back but neither are an option on the entire site. Cue gigantic meltdown which ultimately ended in us leaving the site in a hurry, packing away and going home. The two women on the pitch the other side of us came to help realising that I was struggling with my daughter and packing down on my own after a long day, and they very very kindly offered to pack my tent down and deflate the air beams. They were an absolute saving grace and I’ll be forever grateful to two mums stepping in to help another mum who was struggling. Thank you!!!

Electric grass pitch (no pets)

Liked Very friendly staff on arrival. Who showed us to our spot which i have never seen before so very well done on that. Camping area was really good size and power was extremely easy to use. Plenty to do on site and the pools were nice and warm.

Disliked Toilet and shower area though kept clean and tidy, just felt like they could do with modernising, with the option to set the temperature on the shower especially when I gets too hot for children. Also noticed they could do another person to help out in the arcade area on busy times, the guy who was there was getting pulled all over the place.

Liked Huge pitches. Lots to do for young and old, bike hire, pool, arcade, food offerings and proximity to beach and above all every single member of staff who went above and beyond to be helpful and cheerful.

Disliked Young children ruining the main event entertainment at 9pm by heckling and causing havoc on he main stage interrupting the poor comedian

Liked Clean toilets
Golf course

Disliked The pitches were extremely small. Once we had our tent set up and the van parked, there was barely any space left outside the tent to sit or for the kids to play.

The showers were also a problem, particularly in the evening, as the water was far too hot with no way to adjust the temperature. It was so hot that I had to shower crouched down to avoid being burned.

The push-button taps in both the toilets and washing-up area were frustrating too. The water stops as soon as you release the button, making it unnecessarily difficult to wash your hands properly or wash dishes.

Also, despite Wi-Fi being advertised, there was effectively no Wi-Fi at all. During our five-day stay, we managed to get about one bar of signal for perhaps five minutes in total. If you need to work, check emails or simply stay connected while you're away, I would not rely on having internet access here whatsoever.

Liked Everything about this beautiful site. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
The wifi is not good and I needed to see a Dr. After several attempts to get a signal, I went to reception for help. Chloe on reception was amazing and very kind. After realising that I needed to see a Dr, Chloe, seeing that she had a signal, offered her mobile phone for me to use to make the call. I spoke to the Dr and Chloe gave them her private mobile phone number to call me back on. She offered me a glass of water and suggested I sat down whilst I was waiting for the call back and when I got an appointment, Chloe found me the details of a local taxi firm for me to call to get a lift to the drs.
Chloe is a fantastic representative of the staff at Trevornick and a huge asset to the company. Her kindness and helpful manner were a huge help to me and I was and am very grateful to her. She will go far and we wish her well in her career.

Disliked No wifi or signal

Local attractions

Backdrops don’t come much better than Trevornick… overlooking Gull Rocks and with National Trust-protected Holywell Bay beach steps away making up a mile-long stretch of sand, dunes, rockpools and waves. A surf school is a couple of minutes' drive from the park (or about 20 minutes' hike via the South West Coast Path). And then… onto Fistral beach (10 minutes), the famed setting of the Boardmasters festival and a fine spot to stop off at even if you're not into the surf. Close to Fistral and about a 15-minute drive from Trevornick await Newquay Aquarium and Newquay Zoo, as well as the town's restaurants and shops… plus surf shops if you seek to buy or hire more kit. The Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive from Trevornick, just on the opposite side of the peninsula via the A30; make a day of it and drive an extra 15 minutes down the road to Carlyon Bay while you’re there so you can say you’ve seen the ocean from both sides. Head south from Trevornick for an hour or so to arrive at Land’s End for photos, or drive half an hour for photoshoots at Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps. Also make some time for Falmouth’s excellent maritime museum (45 minutes) and the National Trust Elizabethan house Trerice (15 minutes) for further peaceful times indoors.
