  • A 10-minute drive from the beaches at Perranporth and Fistral
  • Spa, fishing lakes, heated pool and a range of bars and restaurants
Book a coastal Cornish stay at Trevornick Holiday Park, set up to cater for the whole family: this well-equipped site will accommodate you doing as much (or as little) as you please on holiday. Alongside luxury necessities including toilet/shower blocks, family bathrooms, a launderette and a grocery shop, Trevornick has a wide range of extras for all ages such as an outdoor heated pool, a Jacuzzi, a toddlers' pool and a tranquillity spa. Tee off on the 18-hole pitch and putt and par-three golf courses, soak up views of the beach made famous by BBC’s Poldark, and try your hand at the miniature golf course… or sit back at one of Trevornick’s fishing ponds: there are two to try your luck at. Dogs are catered for at Trevornick too: all accommodation types have dog-friendly options, and dedicated on-site facilities include a dog-walking field and a dog wash shower station. It's always worth taking note of what facilities are open during the different seasons here, as things vary according to the time of year. If you go during peak time, book yourself into the Tranquility Spa for a treatment (or two)… the kids won’t even notice you’re gone while they're at the forest trail with its underground tunnel and zipwire.

Liked: Fantastic site and very helpful staff. On arrival we went into arrivals reception and booked in. A very helpful guide them took us to our pitch and told us everything we needed to know about the site an and the pitch We would definitely recommend this site to anyone touring

Disliked: Nothing really to be disliked only thing to mention is to make sure you have levelling ramps as pitches are slightly sloped but wasn't anything to bad

Powered grass campsite (pet friendly)

Liked: Clean and tidy

Disliked: Warning for Disabled people like myself. There are no Disabled toilets or showers unless you pay out for a key and it's not a Radar key. You have to produce your blue badge and pay a £40 deposit. If like myself you leave it behind, you will need to pay out your £40 deposit and then £14 a day. This to me is discrimination to Disabled and families who need the facilities.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Caroline, thank you for your feedback. We have a variety of disabled and family bathrooms on-site. We charge a £40 deposit to make sure that all keys are returned so all the guests have access to them for the duration of the season as unfortunately, we have lost many keys in the past. If you did not have your badge with you we would charge £14 for the duration of your stay or £3 per day. I assure you we do our best to make sure that all our guests are catered for. I'm sorry you did not feel we provided you with this service.

Powered grass campsite (no pets)

Liked: Very clean medium-sized site. Showers & toilet block extremely well maintained. All staff members encountered were pleasant & helpful. Facilities were excellent & in good repair. Nice pool area with opportunity to book onsite massage treatments (didn’t find time) which you can book online. Entertainment area pleasant with staff doing a good job of getting the guests involved. Onsite shop well-stocked. There were a couple of pop-up food/coffee kiosks onsite, which were well frequented & had seating areas to relax in. Food in Woodys bar was decent, with good views over golf course. Golf course looked excellent (I’m not a golfer), with great views of the sea. When the van needed a jump-start maintenance staff were there in minutes and got us going as quickly with no fuss. Expected the WiFi to be poor, but coverage we encountered on Blue field never dropped out & we could stream live tv, listen to radio, text & make phone calls no problem. There were signal boosters dotted all around. Plenty of green spaces for kids to play, with a woodland scramble course to wear them out on! Coastal walk to sea is about 20 minutes, over golf course & sand dunes - not flat or fit for pushchairs. Holywell beach itself is unspoiled, & uncommercial, serviced by lifeguards & surf hire shop. There is a pub is a good 5 minute walk from beach & one pub further up the road. Didn’t appear to be any other shops. Good National Trust car park. Newquay is probably 10 minutes away by vehicle. We went to Smugglers Den pub (10 mins away by car), which had good food choice - pays to book on busy times. Campsite site is tucked away from populated area, but that suited us fine. Plenty to do on-site & well-situated for base to explore Cornwall. We had a day out to Eden Project - £38 each, but ticket lasts all year - really enjoyable day & would recommend. Overall fantastic holiday made extra special by staff at Trevornick holiday park.

Disliked: Expect some pitches to be undulating, so caravan/campervan chocks may be needed, or thought into siting of tent on pitch, or you may roll down hill when you sleep! Recycle bin area had been attacked by seagulls, but that was due to thoughtless guests leaving food waste in wrong area. That’s the only mess we saw on whole site.

From the manager: This is a wonderful, detailed review. Thank you for taking the time to write down your comments. This will be very helpful for future guests looking for a full picture of our site. Our staff try to do our best to help out where we can. It's great to hear that our maintenance team could help you out while you were here. We're extremely lucky to be so close to such a beautiful beach meaning we get wonderful views and can enjoy a beautiful sunset from the golf course or Woody's restaurant. I'm glad you had a nice holiday and we hope to see you again in the future.

Powered grass campsite (no pets)

Liked: Everything was clean; pitches were well maintained, friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Disliked: The pitches in the blue field are really off-kilter. Some are so steep that it makes for an uncomfortable night’s sleep - thankfully we rang reception and they allowed us to move pitches.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi James, I'm sorry you ended up on one of our pitches with a higher gradient. I'm happy to hear our reception could assist you by moving your pitch. All our staff try our best to help out where we can. I hope you got a better night's sleep after the move and enjoyed the rest of your holiday. Thank you

Powered grass campsite (no pets)

Liked: Beautiful campsite, really well kept and clean. On arrival we were shown to our pitch and all the facilities explained to us. We stayed in the Blue field which is pretty central to all the facilities too. The park wasn’t overly busy despite it being the beginning of July which meant it was pretty quiet at night. It’s about a 25 minute walk across the golf course and through the sand dunes down to Holywell Bay beach. We chose to walk back along the main road and stopped at the Treguth Inn for a well needed drink (would highly recommend). The on-site shop is very well stocked plus there is a hire shop where you can hire wetsuits, freezers, tvs etc and they will also re freeze your ice packs for a small cost. Wi-Fi is hit and miss but this is clearly explained when booking. We would highly recommend this site and would definitely stay again in the future.

Liked: The view are breath taking - No comment. the pool area is decent, perfect for kids, the hot tub is the star. Good size dine in cafee and take away pizza availlable. Clean bathrooms and toilets but... Great customer service...

Disliked: Water bearly warm in the showers, the hot tub water was warmer then the shower. Too much far away apart from the end of pitches disperced of the toilets via the campus. The path to the sea is wild, no maintenance at all - big minus. We've got neighbours complaining at 9pm for having a BBQ and kids playing which we been surprized because the quiet time starts at 11pm as everywhere.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the pool and our selection of food and drink available on-site. Thank you for your feedback on the showers. We have a few different toilet blocks located throughout the site however I do appreciate there is a little distance if you stay on one of our last pitches. The trail to the beach is a public footpath and therefore isn't managed by Trevornick. We do maintain our entrance to the path regularly but past this point is maintained by the National Trust. Thank you again for taking the time to review us, we hope to see you again.

Local attractions

Backdrops don’t come much better than Trevornick… overlooking Gull Rocks and with National Trust-protected Holywell Bay beach steps away making up a mile-long stretch of sand, dunes, rockpools and waves. A surf school is a couple of minutes' drive from the park (or about 20 minutes' hike via the South West Coast Path). And then… onto Fistral beach (10 minutes), the famed setting of the Boardmasters festival and a fine spot to stop off at even if you're not into the surf. Close to Fistral and about a 15-minute drive from Trevornick await Newquay Aquarium and Newquay Zoo, as well as the town's restaurants and shops… plus surf shops if you seek to buy or hire more kit. The Eden Project is about a 40-minute drive from Trevornick, just on the opposite side of the peninsula via the A30; make a day of it and drive an extra 15 minutes down the road to Carlyon Bay while you’re there so you can say you’ve seen the ocean from both sides. Head south from Trevornick for an hour or so to arrive at Land’s End for photos, or drive half an hour for photoshoots at Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps. Also make some time for Falmouth’s excellent maritime museum (45 minutes) and the National Trust Elizabethan house Trerice (15 minutes) for further peaceful times indoors.
