  • Scenic and award-winning site filled with flowers
  • Two lakes for coarse fishing plus nature reserve
  • Heated pool, crazy golf, playgrounds, games room and licensed shop
This fabulously floral site has been giving a warm welcome for more than 50 years. The grounds are blooming lovely – even the fishing lakes are filled with lilies – and it’s easy to see why Trevella Holiday Park is a regular winner of the Newquay in Bloom contest, and why so many people come back here every summer. Little buds can shoot around the heated outdoor pool, paddling pool, crazy golf, games room and playgrounds for different ages. There’s free coarse fishing in the two lakes and a pretty nature reserve to explore and a licensed shop. The roomy pitches sit within handsome parkland and the high-quality amenities include family bathrooms, baby changing and a laundry room.

What customers say

Trevella Holiday Park offers a well-maintained and clean site with friendly, helpful staff. It's praised for its good location, suitable for families and exploring Newquay and nearby beaches. Facilities, including showers, toilets, and laundry rooms, are generally well-regarded for cleanliness. On-site amenities like the food van and Piskie pub are popular bonuses. While some found pitches spacious and level, others experienced issues with slopes or muddy conditions, particularly after rain. Noise from other guests and dogs was a concern for some during peak times. The swimming pool requires booking and can be shallow. Improvements in shower temperature consistency and Wi-Fi availability/cost were noted.

Ensuite camping pod

Liked Very cosy and clean! The pod was basic but that was as expected. We had an en-suite which was clean and functional. The water was piping hot and everything worked as it should. The pod itself was really warm even without any heating on, which was great. The outside area was pleasant and it was great that you could park right outside.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (premium)

Liked We didn't see all the site, so not sure about all the things we didn't see. Easy check in.

Disliked It had been raining before we arrived, so grassy parts by the hardstanding pitches were very muddy and a bit off putting. The hard standing pitches had gravel like stone on them, so everytime we went into the motorhome we brought in the outside with us. Not the best pitches at all for such a big picturesque site. In my opinion, not enough thought gone into the hardstanding pitches.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (premium)

Liked We stayed there two nights and it was heavy rain which caused some problems with pitches , but we got moved no problem, showers toilets and laundry rooms were brilliant , staff in reception very helpful , only bit of advice would be clean out the Elsan point by us was full of leaves and obviously waste which had got blocked so we had to use another one, but otherwise very pleased with the site slept fine , would stay again September 25 .

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch (premium)

Liked Location is good for base and going to other towns and places of interest.

Disliked Very muddy! There had been a lot of rain but the drainage was not great.
The tracks around the site were not easy to get around pulling a caravan, very steep and sharp corners with built up edges and even stone gateway pillars to negotiate!
Fishing lake was good. Pool looked nice but was closed. Toilets and showers tired but clean. Had to leave early due to having to attend a funeral, owners would not even credit us with a couple of nights to return. Not very sympathetic.

Local attractions

A quick meander along the verdant country lanes and pathways around Trevella can lead in various directions: a historic smugglers’ inn, a beach, Crantock’s thatched cottages and pretty village church, or to the Gannel estuary to fish, paddle, birdwatch or make the short hop on the ferry to Newquay. The latter probably needs no introduction, but on top of its famous beaches, it has a zoo, aquarium, farm park, boating lake and miniature railway – plus swimming pools (with flumes) and golf courses. This being Cornwall, visitors will find no shortage of ace attractions less than an hour away. Recommendations include losing oneself in the gardens at Heligan, taking in an atmospheric show at the open-air Minack Theatre, on the cliffs overlooking the sea; heading into the Eden Project’s massive crater, to examine the exotic flora in the jaw-dropping megadomes; and some painterly perusal at the Tate Gallery in St Ives. Then there are adventure parks, National Trust properties and open gardens galore; plus a lively programme of local land- and sea-based events, from festivals to carnivals, and regattas to traditional Cornish gig racing.
