Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: What a fab find! Small, quiet site with plenty of clean compost loos. Didn’t use showers but nice to have hot water in sinks in shower block. Owner was lovely and gave us a warm welcome. We loved that we shared campsite with Heather, the alpaca!

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: Location, it was peaceful, owner was very lovely and we had a great conversation about how she started the canpsite. Basic facilities which give you that wild camping feel.

Disliked: Was strange using a decomposable toilet but this did not put us off.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (small, two person)

Liked: Everything!! Such a lovely campsite, full of wildlife including horses, cats and ducks to name a few. Great spot for a big group, plenty of space between each pitch. The owner is so lovely, she is around doing daily tasks at the campsite and gardens and would always say hello or help with any questions. The facilities are great, loads of compost loos and 2 showers, I didn’t have to wait around to use either whilst staying .Couldn’t recommend more

Disliked: Nothing

Non-electric grass tent pitch (small, two person)

Liked: Was a missed bunch of mature couples, to young children. 3 generations thoroughly enjoyed the campsite. Pleasant walk to bude town and a lovely little canal and river just down the road. We have music and a roaring. I hate to use this word but it’s a basic campsite, giving you just what you need. Keep this in mind for “glampers”.

Non-electric grass campervan pitch

Liked: The views were nice and other families staying friendly

Disliked: This campsite is not as advertised so please read recent reviews than believe the information. Whilst this is an eco site it is very run down and dirty, toilets are wooden buckets with loo seat and use sawdust to cover however at times all were full. The showers and sinks were dirty and had not been cleaned for the whole 4 nights we stayed. The area to wash cutlery and cooking items has no access to hot water. The cafe is no longer running and the veggie patch is no longer that unless you want nettle tea! There are horses and cats and a llama but no tortoise or chickens. You cannot fly kites etc as they are low power lines. The walk into town takes 30 minutes or so along canal route, no cycles allowed along there.
