Liked: Campsite is in a beautiful valley with a calm atmosphere and lots of wildlife, it was lovely to wake up to the sound of the birds. Location is great for hikers as you can walk straight from the campsite up the downs. Good choice for families too as the kids can safely explore the whole valley. Nice community vibe when we were there, with children from different families all playing with each other and adults being friendly with other campers.
The site is dog-free in order to protect the birds and other wildlife in the area but the owner kindly allowed us to bring our elderly ferret on the condition that she'd be under control at all times and pose no risk to other animals. The ferret enjoyed herself as much as we did and didn't have to worry about dangerous dogs or cars.
Disliked: I really enjoyed my stay but it wouldn't be a good choice for some people depending on your needs. If you want to keep your car next to your tent, you can't do that here. The port-a-loos were all clean and stocked with loo roll but if you want an indoor toilet you'll be disappointed.
If you want to party, this is not the campsite for you. Most fires were out by 9pm and it's very quiet so people will probably complain if you want to stay up late or listen to music. Sound echoes within the valley so you have to be mindful of babies and backpackers sleeping early.

Liked: Great back to basics experience, my 12 and 15 year old wanted to cook over an open fire and this was a perfect site to do it on. Facilities were fine for what we needed.
Disliked: Would have preferred to park the car next to the tents for storage but not a big deal and actually made the site more scenic and safe.

Liked: Beautiful field, with several loos (clean) and water taps.
Shower further away near car park and farm buildings.
Cadence cafe a lovely bonus - served great coffee.
Spent one day walking the South Downs Way to another Cadence cafe and back again, beautiful countryside, easy routes to follow, stunning views.
A great selection of good pubs within 4 miles or so.
Disliked: Nothing.
