What customers say
This spacious, dog-friendly campsite in the South Downs offers beautiful views and ample pitch space with fire pits. Guests praised the friendly, welcoming hosts and eco-friendly ethos. Facilities, including clean bucket showers and composting toilets, were generally well-regarded. While some found the location perfect for accessing Brighton and local walks, a few noted road noise from the A23 and occasional cold nights. One reviewer mentioned tricky road access for some vehicles.

As I said I loved the place
Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked A beautiful rural site no thrills just a basic pay for what you get. The owners were very welcoming and took the time to explain how things worked and where everything was I loved the site and will be back there ASAP
Disliked The road is an old farm track with over hanging trees so take your time

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Wonderful site with a small number of large individual pitches that can accommodate multiple tents if needed.
The hosts were lovely and gave us a little tour of the facilities.
Surround by nature and tranquility and we will definitely visit again.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked This was the best camping I’ve seen in England so far! Great pitches. Very good clean facilities. Maybe you’re not used to a bucket shower, but I can assure you that it is wonderfull after a long hot day. It is also nearby the beautiful Brighton. But above all very nice owners.
Disliked Nothing

Non-electric grass campervan pitch
Liked The peace and tranquility are unrivaled, a beautiful spot to pitch up and relax.
For the bucket showers, you fill up your tub with hot water from the barn and enjoy a washdown in nature. The host informed me the water was drawn from the sites own borehole. All the waste water goes to watering the local plant and flowers.
The site is hidden away from the hustle and hustle up a lane, you barely notice the main road and all I could hear was the sheep in the next field. If you fancy it there's a nice pub within walking distance.
I cooked up my dinner every night and sat and enjoyed the stunning view, watched the moon rise in front of me and the amazing sunsets behind.
Disliked I honestly cannot say anything bad.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Each camping area has its own mowed out area making it feel really secluded and special. We also had our own fire pit and picnic table which was such a treat. We enjoyed the camp site on the Saturday and then went off into Brighton on the Sunday, it was so convenient getting the bus into the city, then got an Uber home in the evening.
A delicious cafe just a 5 minute walk down the hill too, where we had breakfast.
The amenities were great, and we felt very welcomed on arrival from the couple running the check in and then when leaving we met the owner who was lovely.
Already hoping to return!
