General
- Well-equipped adults-only cabin at an East Sussex smallholding
- In the South Downs National Park, 15 minutes' drive from Brighton
- Ensuite bathroom and barbecue provided; friendly animals to meet
A stay at a smallholding in the South Downs National Park sounds promising on its own, right? But the spectacular rural views and easy access to walking trails are just a start for guests at Wallis Farm – the location, accommodation and company combine to make this a particularly lovely spot.
Getting out and about to explore your glorious surroundings should be straightforward from this East Sussex setting – no narrow winding roads to negotiate for guests here, as the smallholding is just a little way off the A23. That location puts you within easy reach of amenities (including a pub and a farm shop with café), various attractions and beach days or urban wanderings in Brighton (15 minutes’ drive to the city centre).
If you'd rather explore on foot or by bike, that's easily done too, as there’s access to the South Downs Way nearby. You won't have to go far to get your fix of countryside life though, as you’ll be sharing the site with a friendly bunch of animals including alpacas, sheep, pigs and the pygmy goats that can usually be found grazing just outside your cabin.
Speaking of the cabin, it’s a well-appointed little place, designed for adults only and set in its own private corner of a grassy paddock with lovely views over open fields. Lots of handy facilities are provided inside, including a TV, fridge and kettle, plus towels for the ensuite bathroom and bed linen for the comfy double bed. Alfresco time is equally well catered for, with outdoor seating and a barbecue provided to help you make the most of your time in the fresh air.
