When it comes to a handy location for a West Sussex break, this place is surely up there with the best of them. The Fishbourne Centre is housed in a splendidly convenient spot in Fishbourne, within 10 minutes’ walk of the village’s train station, supermarket and pubs as well as the famed Fishbourne Roman Palace. As well as all the handy facilities within walking distance, it’s only a little way further to all sorts of ways to fill your days out, including the Goodwood Estate, Chichester city centre and the open spaces of the Chichester Harbour National Landscape. South coast beaches like West Wittering and Bracklesham Bay are within 15 minutes’ drive as well, so you’ll have plenty of choice for things to do… And that’s before you’ve even taken a look at the facilities right there on site – without even needing to stray beyond the gates you’ll have access to a play park, tennis courts and a BMX track (for under-12s) to keep everyone nicely active for a while on site. When it’s time to bring the day’s activities to a close you may well be pleased to hear that the centre’s bar is open from 5pm daily for drinks indoors or out on the deck; it’s also got pool tables, or you can settle down to enjoy one of the regular live music events or watch some sport on TV. Along with all this, the spacious grass pitches have access to toilets, showers, a washing-up area and a wifi service. You’ll be allowed to set up a barbecue for your dinner, and dogs are permitted on site too.

Liked We had a lovely 1 night stay. The couple overseeing the campsite were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The facilities were clean, good parks for the children and playing fields, and nice walks for the dogs. You can also get drinks from the club house, we didn’t but when we had a look inside the staff were very friendly. It’s a camp site not glamping, and it has everything you need for a camping stay. We will definitely come again.

Disliked We were a little skeptical after reading some previous reviews, but the facilities were clean, staff were brilliant.
I did try to email and call the site before our stay to query, but I could not get through to anybody.

Liked Very easy and convenient for Goodwood

Disliked Slightly steep on pricing. For a single occupancy tent- it was more than i would have liked.

Would have liked a discount for more than one night booking.

Liked Site is small

Disliked Toilet block need updating, only one sink, no drying towels (paper towels), showers are small, club house is small, no meals available only on certain days, no breakfast available only coffee and cakes and hot pasties, but drinks are cheap, no entertainment as such, two pool tables available but this is within the main clubhouse

We are a charity who operate the site 28 days a year so it would not be financially feasible to have separate shower facilities etc, but in the ideal world this would work.

Liked Stephen the host was very friendly and helpful. Especially when our tent flooded! The location was great and we have a good amount of space for our tent.

Disliked The showers were a bit small and you couldn’t change in there. But we were told an upgrade is likely in the future.
