If so, Densworth Farm Camping is a working farm site just outside the national park, five minutes’ drive away from Chichester and 20 minutes from the sandy shores of West Wittering. With the sublime West Sussex countryside surrounding the site and the South Downs Way nearby for a trail down old driveways and chalk slopes, this is a family-friendly place to set down your things. The four-acre field has plenty of room for a high-powered game of ball and the pitches here aren’t marked out, so you may pick your preferred patch of land. The site is dog-friendly too, so you may very well be looking for a pub where your furry friend can sit at your feet. Handily, there’s a suitable pub 15 minutes’ walk away from the site. Those looking for other venues may find more family-friendly pubs and places to eat out in Chichester. On site, you’ll be able to sort out a nice easy-going time, as firepits and barbecues are welcome – and if you don’t yet have one, the site hires them out. Firewood is sold on the site too, as is honey straight from the farm’s hives. Other facilities on site include portable toilets, a waste disposal point and water available for convenience. Please note that Densworth Farm Camping is a peaceful site, so if you're looking to throw parties during your stay you'll need to look elsewhere.
