General

Little Switzerland Caravan Site in a unique position, beneath the famous white cliffs of Folkestone. The cliffs are known as the Hellfire Corner – aptly named following its battering during The Battle of Britain.

The site is a former WW2 base enjoying breathtaking views across the English channel and over the Warren Country Park, accessible via a well-maintained path. Folkestone is only 15 minutes' walk away from the campsite.

The campsite is ideal for an overnight stop on your way to the continent. The Channel Tunnel is only 5 minutes away from the site and Dover Ferry Port is only a 10-minute drive away.

There is a toilet and shower block as well as free wifi and a washing-up area.

Pretty site but awful toilet and shower block 31/08/2016

Lovely views ,with a very kind and helpful owner.

    Disliked:

The shower block only having two for each gender, was so old, toilets too.Making them hard to keep clean. My hubby refused to use the shower, and used our van one instead. The mens toilets were up a huge amount of steps to,and after speaking to another camper, said he was unable to climb them,he had no idea ,they were gonna be so steep, they weren't mentioned on the website. Also very close positioning ,we had to put a windbreaker around us,as we felt on top of our neighbours.Literally about ten steps away.We parked our car so close to us ,so leaving our neighbour the other side some room.I know it was a Bank Holiday ,but there was literally people camping on the side of the paths, maybe have been just for one night, and a last minute booking, but was ridiculous,I was amazed people were happy to do so.We did enjoy or stay despite all of the dislikes, but wouldn't return, hubby couldn't put up with the shower block and the smell in the mens toilets.Probably on a less busy day,we wouldn't have been so crammed in,I booked months back.
