What customers say
This is a highly recommended, well-maintained campsite with incredibly friendly and accommodating owners. Guests praise the cleanliness of the facilities, spacious pitches, and the unique atmosphere created by the nearby big cat sanctuary and aerodrome. While some mention occasional noise from a train line, road, or aircraft, most find it adds to the experience rather than detracting. The owners' attentiveness, communal areas, and complimentary events like pizza nights and Pimms are frequently highlighted as exceptional touches.

Truly outstanding hosts and facilities
Bell tent (four person)
Liked The hosts, Alan & Kim are incredibly warm and welcoming. The campsite is immaculate, with lots of personal touches, great facilities, great location, and the choice of bell tents, yurt or shepherd’s hut are accommodating to every glamping style.
The big cats roaring, and the wing walker planes & skydiving on the horizon fascinated the kids. The site is so safe and has so much room for the kids to run around in the fresh air within eyesight.
There’s been a few upgrades this year, which have made the campsite even more special. But genuinely, what makes us come back year after year are the hosts. You’ll see that feedback consistently, because Alan & Kim truly are wonderful, and nothing is too much trouble. We absolutely love this campsite, and we’re already booking again for next year

Bell tent (four person)
Liked Lovely campsite! Flat ground so no sloping airbeds! Toilets nice and clean, and not far away. Small field but pitches not squashed in. Lions next door roaring in the night was a surprise but quite exciting!! Tasty pizzas, great service and the complimentary evening pimms was a welcome treat! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely campsite, facilities and owners. Highly recommend!
Bell tent (four person)
Liked Beautiful and well maintained campsite, that felt very safe. Extremely friendly and helpful owners, they hosted welcome drinks one night at the weekend. Really clean and well stocked facilities and we benefited from access to all the utensils, fire pit, BBQ etc, and pizza on the first night. We were glamping and it saved us bringing loads of kit for a short break. Hearing the lions roaring and seeing wing walkers and sky divers over the campsite from the nearby aerodrome added a bit of fun. Thank you for a great stay.
Disliked Nothing (although an alarm went off at a separate property across the road both nights, but I would hope this has been sorted out now)

Yurt
Liked We had a great experience staying in the Yurt. It was immaculate and the beds were very comfortable.
The owners are very friendly and attentive to any needs.
The communal kitchen/lounge area was a great added bonus, very comfortable & had pretty much everything you need utensils/cooking wise, for a very enjoyable stay.
We loved our weekend break & we really hope to visit again in the future.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.
