What customers say
This is a friendly, relaxed, and well-maintained campsite offering good value. Visitors praise the spacious pitches, clean facilities including hot showers, and the convenient location with an easy footpath to Stockbridge. The site is dog-friendly, allows fires and BBQs, and features improvements like a children's play area. While some road noise is noted, it's generally considered quiet, especially at night. The coded entry system and attentive staff contribute to a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Some guests mention occasional busyness and noise issues, particularly on bank holidays.

Having a picnic table next to…
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Having a picnic table next to the pitch
Disliked The campsite was very crowded, and because there were no allocated pitch numbers, everyone pitched wherever they could find space. As a result, it felt overcrowded and lacked any real organisation.
Noise was a major issue. Even at around midnight, groups of people were still talking very loudly and swearing, making it extremely difficult to get to sleep. There was also constant road noise, combined with people talking throughout the night, so it was nearly impossible to get a peaceful night's rest.
Overall, the site felt busy, noisy, and poorly managed, and it wasn't the relaxing camping experience we had hoped for.The toilets were very dirty throughout my visit. There was also a notice displayed in the toilet block stating that this is "not the Ritz" and that the toilets cannot be expected to be perfect because it is a farming site, asking visitors to wait until the facilities had been cleaned.
However, even after the cleaning staff attended, the toilets remained in a very poor and unhygienic condition. While I understand that a farming site may present additional cleaning challenges, visitors should still be able to expect a reasonable standard of cleanliness in the toilet facilities.

Decent site which did what it needed to do
Non-electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Quiet despite being fairly near a main road. Good choice of flat hard standing even though the site was busy. Picnic bench right next to my pitch which was handy. Toilets were clean and everything worked. Friendly bunch of fellow campers. Rules respected by everyone. Close to the village.
Disliked Not really sure it was the sites fault but a young couple decided to pitch their tent about 50cm from my van (etiquette says you should try and leave 6 metres!!). They were so close, to the point that the female actually came to speak to me and say “you’d best be careful when you open your door so that you don’t trip on my peg and rope”. I hadn’t realised they were pitching so close until then, otherwise I’d have asked them to move. As it was, I couldn’t be bothered to get them to take their tent down and have them bash the pegs in again as it was getting late.

Great campsite for anyone to chill and explore Stockbridge.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Great location above Stockbridge with a connected footpath down to the local shops and pubs. The warden came over to us on arrival and offered information and and a warm welcome. Great little campsite and a good size of facilities for compared to the overall size.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Both Owner Dave and Manager Mark were welcoming and friendly. There is a coded gate to enter. Easy walking distance to Stockbridge along a hilly path. 2 Washing-up areas, outside or undercover, with a small freezer for ice packs and charger point for phones. Clean toilet and shower block. Fantastic very new kids wooden climbing frame, swings and slide, and lots of picnic tables dotted about for people to use.Good phone signal. Highly recommend.
Disliked Some people thinking that everyone around them enjoys their taste in music! There is road noise, but it is quiet at night.
