What customers say
This is a peaceful, spacious campsite surrounded by ancient woodland, offering a tranquil escape with convenient access to local beaches and towns. Guests praised the friendly hosts, clean facilities (though some mention occasional issues with stock and temperature), and the natural beauty of the setting. While many enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and ability to choose pitches, some noted that the hilly terrain can make finding level spots challenging, and the number of facilities may be stretched during peak times. Manager replies indicate that issues with toilets, showers, and restocking have been addressed.

Beautiful campsite
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Setting was beautiful, reasonably priced and good facilities with, fire pits, wood shared fridge and clean toilet blocks. Get there early for. Flat pitch
Disliked We were unlucky and went on a weekend when some really noisy patrons were also there. Kept us up with shouting, loud music and car alarms.

Very nice for the price but on a hill
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked It is a peaceful and beautiful site, very quiet. Well kept. Nice distance from the/hastings/camber. Toilets are clean and shower was nice and warm and good power. Fridge on site and power points. Good value for money and felt safe.
Disliked The site is on a slope, so not easy to find a flat spot to pitch. Only two showers/toilets for men and women (so four overall), might be not enough when site is busier.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked We absolutely loved our stay at Oak Valley. It’s a wonderfully relaxed and friendly campsite in a beautiful, peaceful setting, surrounded by ancient woodland with lovely paths to explore.
The location was perfect for visiting Pett Level, Winchelsea, Rye and Rye Harbour, and it made a brilliant base for exploring the area on our electric bikes.
The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful and laid-back, and the facilities were excellent: hot showers, a clean toilet block and washing-up area, a large communal fridge, and even a hairdryer in the ladies—which was a major bonus! You can also hire fire pits and buy logs, which made our evenings at camp particularly lovely.
It was quiet, spacious and absolutely beautiful. We had the most wonderful weekend and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Very basic.
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked The location was very quiet.
Disliked It was a basic site with minimal amenities. I was one of 5 campers on the day.
Pitches could be a challenge; it is not a flat area, but you can pick your spot.
The sink area had a cold tap, which was actually the hot tap, and the temperature was burning hot - this needs to be resolved.
