Em va agradar We’ve been coming here for years because we love the location. It’s close to the beach, walks and when everyone is respectful, it can be a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to camp. Unfortunately, twice this year that wasn’t our experience, which made our stay disappointing

No em va agradar There doesn’t appear to be anyone managing the site on a day-to-day basis, which was surprising given that we visited on weekend and during peak season. The toilet and shower facilities were not well maintained. One toilet seat was already loose when we arrived. After one night, it had been removed ( chucked on the floor)and when it was later put back on, it had not been secured properly and was still loose. Toilet door also didn’t lock properly. The new owners seemed to visit once a day. They were away on holiday during our stay.
Unfortunately, we struggled to get a good night’s sleep on both weekends we stayed due to noise. On one night, loud music continued until around 4:30 a.m. The campsite seems much busier than in previous years and they seem to allow bigger groups. I understand this is great for business, but not if you seek a quieter camping experience. We are hesitant to return due to this. Cannot comment on how things are during week.

Em va agradar Setting was beautiful, reasonably priced and good facilities with, fire pits, wood shared fridge and clean toilet blocks. Get there early for. Flat pitch

No em va agradar We were unlucky and went on a weekend when some really noisy patrons were also there. Kept us up with shouting, loud music and car alarms.

Em va agradar It is a peaceful and beautiful site, very quiet. Well kept. Nice distance from the/hastings/camber. Toilets are clean and shower was nice and warm and good power. Fridge on site and power points. Good value for money and felt safe.

No em va agradar The site is on a slope, so not easy to find a flat spot to pitch. Only two showers/toilets for men and women (so four overall), might be not enough when site is busier.

Em va agradar We absolutely loved our stay at Oak Valley. It’s a wonderfully relaxed and friendly campsite in a beautiful, peaceful setting, surrounded by ancient woodland with lovely paths to explore.

The location was perfect for visiting Pett Level, Winchelsea, Rye and Rye Harbour, and it made a brilliant base for exploring the area on our electric bikes.

The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful and laid-back, and the facilities were excellent: hot showers, a clean toilet block and washing-up area, a large communal fridge, and even a hairdryer in the ladies—which was a major bonus! You can also hire fire pits and buy logs, which made our evenings at camp particularly lovely.

It was quiet, spacious and absolutely beautiful. We had the most wonderful weekend and would happily return. Highly recommended!

Em va agradar Surrounded by ancient woodland the site has a tranquil feel whilst being only a short drive to Rye and Winchelsea. The facilities are clean and well maintained.
