What customers say
This is a well-maintained and clean campsite with friendly, helpful staff. Pitches are generally spacious and level, with excellent toilet and shower facilities. The location is praised for its convenience to Blackpool and other local attractions. Downsides include occasional WiFi issues and limited opening hours for the bar/cafe. Some visitors were disappointed by the closure of water sports facilities and found certain areas, like the dog walk, to be overgrown. Despite minor issues, many guests expressed a desire to return.

OK, but only if you follow 'the norm...!'
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked There's a cool helicopter in the main section. Pitches look an alright size.
If you do get sent to the back field, there's a nice view over the countryside.
Location is good for Blackpool - £14/£16 for a taxi.
Everything on the lake was shut, but if open it looks fun.
Disliked Very disappointed that we were told upon arrival that we couldn't have the pitch we booked, all because we weren't in a standard motorhome. We own a very smart converted bus, which gets only positive interactions from all sites we've stayed at, yet we weren't allowed on the main section, a we didn't conform.
We were sent to the far field, which was only grass, no hard standing, which hadn't been cut for a while. It was also thick with thistles so couldn't walk round in sliders.
The toilet block in our section had 4 showers and a toilet, but they only opened one shower and the toilet as 'there aren't many of you over here, so we're only unlocking these' They were alright, they are push buttons that last approximately 25 seconds. They flooded on the last day, the entire room was an inch under water. There wasn't any hooks or anywhere to put your clothes/towel so they all got drenched. The mop for cleaning it was rusty.
We weren't offered a discount, despite being put on the touring field instead of the main area.
The WiFi is rubbish, doesn't reach the back field and was weak even in main bit.
The park (one of the main reasons we booked it) was out of service which was very disappointing.

A very picturesque site with absolutely fantastic staff.
Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked The site is very picturesque. Excellent size pitches. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We hired a touring pitch, a lodge, the Lynx Helicopter and a camping pitch for the weekend. The site is well positioned for easy access to Lytham, St Anne's and Blackpool.
There is a small shop in reception that sells the essentials. The showers are hot and nicely spaced.
Disliked We arrived on the Saturday morning and the toilet/shower block wasn't cleaned until Sunday night. The park was quite full over the weekend so there was lots of paper/empty Toilet roll tubes scattered on the floors and the showers/toilets weren't the cleanest. This was rectified late on Sunday evening. A morning and evening check and a quick sweep would've just made a wholely better impression.
The toilets/showers in the camping field were out of order for the duration of our stay (Saturday to Tuesday)
The WiFi is great on the touring pitch, practically non existent in the lodges/camping field.

A great stay, ideal location. Lovely park & great facilities.
Electric grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Location & we were able to park our motorhome in the car park the day of departure whilst we enjoyed the day at Blackpool. Great customer service.
Disliked Strict 5pm check-in. We were caught up in bad traffic and was panicking we wouldn't make it... we rushed in at 4.55pm... it added a little stress that was unnecessary if there was a late arrival option.

Brill family site. We will definitely book again.
Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Lovely family site. Sitting by the lake of an evening was lovely with a beer or a wine. There was a children’s play area too, though our kids didn’t use it. The ladies on reception were lovely and very helpful.
There is a pub a short drive away, food was good but a little ok the expensive side.
I live how close we were to so many different activities around. Blackpool and Lytham.
Disliked Nothing.
