Hacking Hall Farm Camping

This site does not currently take bookings here on Pitchup.com.

General

  • Dog-friendly site at a riverside working farm in the Ribble Valley
  • A 10-minute drive from Whalley Abbey; 20 minutes to Clitheroe Castle
  • Access to walking trails; pub nearby; barbecues and firepits allowed

Put your feet up at Hacking Hall Farm Camping, a dog-friendly site on a working farm in Ribble Valley, alongside the confluence of the river Calder and the river Ribble. Here, you’ll be in a countryside chunk of land with views of Longridge Fell, surrounded by woodlands for walking (including family-friendly trails for all ages), with Whalley Abbey 10 minutes’ drive away and Clitheroe Castle 20 minutes away.

The pitches are part of a field in front of Hacking Hall, so there are portable toilet and shower facilities, charging points and water available. Pets are permitted here on leads and under 18s are also allowed, as long as they’re accompanied by an adult.

You’ll be able to access many walks and trails from the site, but first things first, the closest pub is under five minutes’ drive away. The site is on the outskirts of Whalley in Lancashire, so the town centre is under 10 minutes’ drive away, where there’s a nice chain of shops, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets.

Firepits are allowed at Hacking Hall Farm Camping (please ask for a stone slab on arrival to protect the grass).

If you’re still hungry or don’t want to get up just yet, local places also deliver, so you can take a pizza down to the river if you wish. Barbecues and campfires are also permitted, so this may be another way to wind down in the evening nicely.

Please note that this is an active working farm, with some agricultural activity beginning as early as 6am.

Site has a lovely atmosphere and stunning surroundings, feel like your miles from anywhere but it's only a 5 min drive to local village and motorway link roads.
The woman who greeted us was super helpful and understanding of our needs and couldn't help us enough (even though her tea was ready!) would highly recommend and will return next year!

We have just returned from an amazing Bank Holiday weekend away with friends.
From the moment we arrived the lady running the site could not do enough for you. She helped with pitches, hook ups and even offered to do a quick wash after a bean disaster in the roof box!!
The space you had was fantastic and private for our tent, camper van and event shelter. The views looking out over the river and fields were just the perfect setting to a very relaxing weekend.
Everything on site you needed..toilets , hot running shower and a washing up station under shelter. If this wasn't enough for you you need to get off the field and book in a hotel..this is camping!! Lianne and family kept them all immaculate and topped up with plenty of loo rolls. I've never seen someone work so hard and run a farm aswell.
Lovely fresh farm eggs each morning with an honesty box I hope everyone used. They came round every night with firewood packs and stones to have a camp fire safely.
Honestly one of the best sites we have ever been on and cannot wait to return.
    Well done Hacking Farm 🤩
