This small, peaceful woodland campsite is highly recommended for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful natural surroundings. Guests enjoyed lovely walks, including to a nearby waterfall, and praised the good facilities. Friday pizza nights were a highlight, fostering a great communal atmosphere. Some noted the narrow access road and occasional issues with toilet code access. Overall, a tranquil and well-maintained spot ideal for nature lovers.

Liked Beautiful setting lovely and quiet. Address is not Micheal Wife Lane as we found out and had to back an 8ft van down an unbelievable narrow driveway. Please change your address.
Disliked The wrong address

Overall we had a great time and the campsite is absolutely beautiful!
Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (large)
Liked The facilities were excellent, the toilet/shower/kitchen block was clean and well maintained and the fact that dish cleaning stuff and hand towels/tea towels were provided was amazing. The pitches are a great size and we had plenty of room to pitch our tent and set up our gear. The surroundings were just beautiful and the walk down to the waterfall was fab, the dog thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole trip was a blast and we’d definitely visit again.
Disliked Other guests not closing the site gates, and the door to the toilet block being left open and lights left on was annoying! But I get that not everyone follows the rules and that’s not the fault of the owners as the signs are all there… some people are just lazy and inconsiderate. We were a little frustrated at initially being told we had to buy our firewood from the campsite, only to be told on the day of arrival that their wood was still drying so we had to buy our own. Which we were happy to do, but a bit more notice would have been appreciated.

From the manager: Thank you for your review! Lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us 😊
It is frustrating that people don't close the gates/doors and switch lights off (we feel the same frustration! 🤣) Apologies about the wood, we have struggled to get ours dry in time for the season - the joys of the British winters!
Hopefully see you again soon!

A nice, quiet site for a 1 or 2 night stay with family.
Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (large)
Liked Secluded site, yet close to the shops, pubs and restaurants. Flat pitches. Fire pit provided. Quiet. Shelter/den with wooden log seats and fire pit for when it's raining. Shower and toilet block was clean. Hand soap and toilet roll provided. Fridge, kettle and toaster available. Flexible check-in time. Close to Edenfield waterfall which is definitely worth a visit.
Disliked Be aware that there is a man-made bee hive very close to the tent pitches that attracts a lot of bees and wasps.

Excellent site for families
Non-electric hardstanding campervan pitch
Liked Great little site surrounded by trees. Great for families with young children. Some beautiful walks right on the door step. Make sure you walk down to the waterfall, less than 10 mins down the path.
Disliked Not a dislike at all but just a note to not trust your sat nav on the site location. Apple Maps dropped me in completely the wrong location.

Liked Really enjoyed my stay here.
Its a very small campsite, with around 10/11 pitches - which suited me perfectly.
I felt very comfortable staying here as a solo traveller.
Facilties were great.
When I arrived, it took a little time to find out which was my assigned pitch. I understand the site is ran as a not-for-profit. I think it would be easy to automate this with a text or email to the customer prior to arrival. Especially as there didn't seem to be a member of staff on site.
Overall I loved the setting and how peaceful it was.

Liked A fantastic campsite with excellent facilities and incredibly friendly owners! They even texted us ahead of our arrival to let us know they’d be making wood-fired pizzas that evening, in case we wanted to order, and invited us to a small community event they were hosting. I asked the owner if they had any firewood for purchase — unfortunately, they had run out — but he kindly went out of his way to find some for me free of charge, which was such a thoughtful gesture!
My girlfriend and I only stayed for one night, but we wished we could have stayed longer. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to come back this August!
close to the nearest pub and some great walking locally is also a great plus !
Disliked Nothing!

A really lovely, quiet and peaceful campsite
Non-electric forest floor tent pitch (large)
Liked Really lovely peaceful site. Great owners very friendly. They had some great ideas for places to hike to, or visit. Loved the kitchen and use of fridge too. Friday night pizzas were amazing and great value and fun. Natural environment was amazing. The fire pits were free and very useful. Big covered camp fire pit area in addition which was cosy! Shower and loos spotless. Walking distance to local village and pubs. Waterfall nearby too. We had a lovely weekend stay and would definitely return.
Disliked Everything was brilliant but not much clear signage on the drive up to the site. Parking on site only and was tight and not much space. Could definitely benefit from more parking - especially at busy times.
