What customers say

This is a small, peaceful, and immaculately clean site on a working farm, praised for its friendly and helpful owner, Christine. Pitches are spacious and level, with tables and benches. Guests enjoyed the rural setting, proximity to Barnoldswick for amenities, and walks along the canal. Facilities are basic, with limited toilets and a coin-operated shower, though consistently reported as clean. Some noted a nearby factory hum and the approach road is narrow. Many guests express a desire to return.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Friendly, clean, quiet site. Short walk to Barnoldswick and its pubs and restaurants. The owner met us on arrival with a handy leaflet with site info and local walks etc .

Disliked Shower is £1for 6 mins, more than ample for a good shower, not particularly a dislike but useful to know.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Nice clean tidy site, friendly helpful staff. Location good for short walk to town (15 mins) Lots to do in the surrounding area, Skipton, Malham, 3 peaks etc.

Disliked Narrow lane on final approach to site (with passing places)
Toilet and shower facilities limited, but wasn't really a problem.

Electric gravel touring pitch

Liked Great location, very welcoming. Pitches were a good size and not too many so felt like you had lots of space. Alpacas in neighbouring field were nice to watch. Nice walk past the rugby field into the town of barnoldswick which has some nice bars and restaurants

Disliked Having to pay £1 to use the shower wasn't great but you do get 6 mins which is more than enough.

Local attractions

Local town Barnoldswick is fably placed for Lancashire and Yorkshire adventures, as it's close to the Yorkshire Dales, the Forest of Bowland, the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, and enough hiking/biking paths to keep one occupied for weeks. The town's on the lower slopes of Weets Hill; for a scenic hike, make your way south of Barnoldswick to Letcliff Country Park and the start of a six and a half mile walk over the local limestone plateau. If you seek even headier times, cross over the Lancashire border to reach the Yorkshire Dales, where the intrepid can tackle the limestone cliffs of Kilnsey, Malham Cove and Gordale Scar within 30 to 40 minutes of Bridge Holme. Slightly less actively, the mountain bike trails around Gisburn Forest (in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) are 35 minutes' drive away. Ready now for more sedate pursuits? The shopping centre and castle of Clitheroe are within 25 minutes' drive and Saltaire and Salt Mill within 40. Further afield, Leeds is an hour and 10 minutes away and York an hour and a half.
