What customers say
This is a small, peaceful campsite praised for its quiet atmosphere, natural setting among trees, and proximity to Coniston Lake. Facilities including clean, hot showers and toilets are generally well-regarded, as is the honesty hut. Some guests found tent pitches to be muddy or rocky, making pegging difficult, and noted occasional issues with Wi-Fi or a lack of device charging sockets. Despite these minor points, many visitors express a desire to return.

Beuatiful, peaceful campsite, with everything you could need
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Beautiful, peaceful, clean, easy, friendly. Our second trip here after going to a differnt place last year, but we all agreed we preferred here and so wanted to return and we are so glad we did. We will be back.

Nice message to explain the campsite/rules in advance
Parking cars near the tent is always a bonus.
Dog friendly
Disliked The way the camping section is set up. The other 2 had set up before we arrived and it left us with a really awkward pitch that was on a huge slant with no access the picnic bench. Felt very overlooked.
Slanted pitch with the quite bad rainfall left our tent flooded (this have never happened before so not a tent issue)
No noise after 10 rule wasn’t followed by many - both nights people in the lodges were very loud until 1/2am which led to a very restless weekend away.
Price per night is a little steep for what you get in our opinion.
No welcome/people on site to speak to if we had issues? If they were there we didn’t know where!

Loved it - would stay again
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Only a few tent pitches and nice remote location so a lovely quiet place to camp. Surrounded by nature and hearing bird song really helps you relax.
Disliked Hard pitches could be tricky to pitch on in really dry summer conditions and in really wet conditions could become a mud bath.
