What customers say
This is a friendly, welcoming campsite on a working farm with stunning Cumbrian views. Guests praise the location for walking and access to public transport, as well as the helpful owners and farm animals. Facilities are basic but clean, with a small charge for the shower. Some guests noted road noise and early farm activity, and while most found the site excellent value, a few felt the facilities were basic for the price.

Liked The location is amazing. The owner is very nice and we loved their dogs which like getting a stroke. The pitch is nice with hookup and I think the price is reasonable. The toilets and shower were very clean.

Liked Views, friendly hostess
Disliked 1 old tatty outdoor unlockable, exceptionally hot shower £1 for 5 mins. Bath maths reused customer after customer ...not a clean one- the same ones just dried.
Dogs loose on the site
1 toilet, old tatty outdoor
Pitch was gravelwith some grass at the side of the road into the farm. Definitely not a prepared hardstanding pitch.
Lady on site said it was just £10 pernight. So £30 total...Yet id already paid £68.85 to pitch up...daylight robbery

From the manager: Firstly I don’t tell people to use the shower it’s a facility that I offer and there are clean matts each day. You only paid Pitch up a deposit and as you didn’t use electricity I only charged you £10 per can per night.
I gave you the choice of pitches but as you had a dog that did Barack a lot the shadey place at the end of the lane site was best.
II suggest if you want a 5 star pitch you go to the big site and pay through the roof.
Sorry you did not like our site but many do.

Fantastic overnight stop for our camper…
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Fantastic overnight stop for our camper van with a lovely view.
Everything was great and we had no problems at all. The pitch was very reasonably priced, so we were more than happy to pay the extra £1 for the shower. We'd happily stay again.
