What customers say
Stybeck Farm is a welcoming, no-frills working farm campsite in a beautiful Lake District location. Visitors praise the stunning views, friendly and helpful hosts, and proximity to walks and public transport. Facilities are basic but clean, including toilets and a shower with an additional charge. While some mention farm noise and limited phone signal, the overall sentiment is positive, with many planning return visits.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Stunning views.
Really lovely site owners.
Disliked Toilets were adequate but mould in corners.
Disgusting showers. Black mold everywhere. Shower lock doesn't work and door doesn't pull to, so, didn't really enjoy the risky shower. To top it off, you have to pay a pound to use the shower that makes you feel dirtier than when you went in.

Liked Location is fantastic, great for Thirlmere null pool and Hellvelyn
The owner was lovely and greeted us by name. She was helpful but happy to let us enjoy our break. She was always around if we neededed anything
Farm produce available
Bus stop outside with regular services to Kendal and Keswick
Great pub a short walk
Disliked Absolutely not a complaint but just wanted to say facilities basic and some farm noise early morning. This should be expected as it's a working farm and we were aware when booking. This is reflected in the price. The place really is a hidden gem and we have have recommended to friends

We had a a wonderful 3 night stay and will be returning soon.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Perfect location to explore the fells. Great being on a bus route so easy to get to and from towns like Keswick and Grassmere. Pitches were flat and we could choose where was best suited for us. Beautiful scenery all around and very peaceful.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked An absolutely stunning setting.
Louise is lovely and very helpful.
It’s a working farm so you see all sorts of animals, chickens and Guinea fowl.
There’s a really good hot shower that works with a £1 coin.
The pitches are pretty flat, have wonderful views and ehu.
It’s on a bus route too, which is apparently very good, we didn’t use it but others did and said it’s cheap and a very regular service.
It’s a short but steep walk to a popular waterfall.
There’s also a cafe a very short walk away. At night you hear owls and it’s a dark sky area so on a clear night the stars are amazing.
The location is great, not far from many stunning places.
We had a fantastic 2 nights staying at Stybeck Farm and will definitely book again.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked The relaxed atmosphere was lovely, having the ability to park where ever as long as it was at a hook up. We loved watching the sheep in the field and the dogs running around. Would definitely recommend here! It is just off a main road but you honestly wouldn’t be able to tell

Lovely 2 night stay
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Great campsite, lovely host, lovely pub just down the road, great walks direct from the campsite. Coffee shop nearby.
Disliked Didn’t matter to us but not much mobile reception (giffgaff/O2).

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked The site is small and nestled in the side of the hill as indicated on the pictures.
Disliked We booked this site in APRIL. Upon arrival there was no pitch available for us where all the fellow campers were. We were offered to ‘pull in’ at the side of the lane exiting the farm where EHU was available. In the night the owner squeezed another camper in next to ours leaving a couple of foot between us.
Bear in mind this site has unmarked pitches, primitive facilities and is near a busy main road (which I admit I should have googled before booking). The facilities for emptying your waste cassette is a manhole cover with a handle ! You cannot wash your cassettes out.
We paid for 2n and left after one. The quad bike going past the van at 5am was the nail in the coffin..
