Liked: The location of this site is beautiful. Surrounded by farm land with the sound of a running river next to you it really sets the scene. The campsite is located on the “Cumbria way” with a path from Caldbeck to Carlisle running through camp. There’s a lovely sign that gives you some info to the history of it. The facilities are in lovely state, clean and updated. There’s a toilet block/ shower block and campers kitchen with a solar port to charge devices. Nearby there is a lovely pub, village shop and a walkers cafe which I didn’t get a chance to visit but was always busy when I passed! The host was very accommodating, helpful and gave me lots of info regarding the area. I’d highly recommend anyone to stay at this place!

Liked: Beautiful campsite in a quiet location, with all the amenities you would need, from hot showers, clean toilets and washing facilities. I personally stay here once a year as it’s ideal for my hikers trips, but this year I brought a couple of friends along with me, who weren’t disappointed to say the least 👌 Lovely little village 5 mins walk away to enjoy a stroll, along with a great meal and a pint at the local pub. Couldn’t recommend this place enough, ideal for any camper old or young. Massive thank you to the owners, who are very friendly, and more than happy to help or accommodate. Keep doing what you’re doing guys, and I’ll see you next time.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing, one of the best camp sites I have frequented. Top marks 👌

Liked: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Caldbeck campsite, and I must say it was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and at ease. Here are some highlights that made my stay memorable: The campsite’s serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The peaceful ambiance allowed me to truly unwind and connect with nature. The campsite’s host, was incredibly warm and accommodating. Her friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. As a dog owner, I appreciated that Caldbeck campsite is pet-friendly. My furry companion had a blast exploring the nearby trails and playing fetch in the open fields. It’s refreshing to find a campsite that welcomes four-legged friends with open arms. Having access to my own table and bench was a thoughtful touch. Whether I was enjoying a morning cup of coffee or sharing a meal with my partner, having this private space added to the overall comfort of my stay. The icing on the cake was the fantastic weather during my visit. Clear skies, gentle breezes, and sunny days made my outdoor experience even more enjoyable. In summary, Caldbeck campsite exceeded my expectations. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway with friendly hosts, a dog-friendly environment, and your own little nook to relax, I highly recommend this hidden gem. I can’t wait to return! 🌿🏕️☀️
