What customers say
This is a highly recommended, basic, back-to-nature campsite in a stunning location with beautiful views and excellent access to Wastwater lake for water activities. Campers praise the spacious pitches, peace and quiet, and friendly, helpful hosts. While facilities are basic, portaloos are generally reported as clean and well-maintained. Some guests mention midges and a rough access track, but overall, visitors found it to be great value for money and plan to return.

Liked Very basic which i love, short walk to the lake. Friendly owner who has wood for sale for fires. Even though the site was fully booked there was still plenty of room. A very peaceful site.
Disliked The toilets weren't very good, they didn't flush and you sunday it was like festival toilets. Lots of midges so bring plenty of insect repellent.

The owner was very friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The campsite was quiet and well looked after. The portable toilets were always clean and regularly serviced three times a day, which was greatly appreciated.
