What customers say
This campground offers a beautiful, quiet setting with amazing mountain and lake views, a short walk from Wast Water. Guests love the roomy sites, welcoming owners, and the "back to basics" vibe. Facilities are basic, but portaloos are clean. Some note the farm road access can be rough. Perfect for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers.

Liked Absolutely beautiful! Great location with plenty of space and privacy, plus it's dog-friendly. Imagine eating breakfast and drinking coffee while gazing at the surrounding mountains. The nearby lake is perfect for swimming, walking, or just chilling out with amazing views of nature. David's communication was excellent. We'll definitely be back, thank you! 🏞️⛰️🐶

Excellent greenfield camping site, I will be using again.
Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Nice quiet place, camping pitches are mostly flat. The area is fantastic. It’s a basic greenfield campsite and a perfect location for a hike round the fells.
The owner is great and friendly and immediately offers advice on activities, directions and things to do in the area.
The place is not too busy so getting a decent pitch without being on top of others is easy.
Disliked The porta-loos are a bit gruesome but that is not a fault of the owners, more the fault of people who can’t or won’t operate the flushing system. Not a reflection on the site at all. Just be prepared lol

Happy to use in future. Clean with a back to basics feel.
Primitive grass campervan or tent campsite
Liked Cannot complain about the price paid, very fair considering the location. Ample portaloos on site and the site/fields were clean. Back to basics camping with the bonus of having the portaloos available. Pick where to pitch being a positive, choose your own view.
Minor observation to make is that if wet the access to lower field could become a rut of mud.
Although I stayed for a single night, I would happily use this as a base for a few days. Campers kept noise levels respectable throughout the evening and night.
