What customers say

This is a very clean, well-maintained, and peaceful campsite with spacious pitches. Visitors frequently praise the spotlessly clean and modern toilet and shower facilities, describing them as excellent and first-class. The friendly and helpful owners and staff receive consistent positive mentions. The on-site cafe is a popular addition. Minor points raised include some road noise from the nearby M6 and an occasional preference for slightly cooler showers. The site is considered an excellent base for exploring the Lake District and Yorkshire.

Liked Everything
The toilet and shower block was 1st rate, unisex but very discreet. Cubicles where you can lock yourself away for a shower, with toilet and sink, heated towel rail, decorated beautifully and spotless.
The tea rooms was a welcoming treat and a little nursery to buy some lovely plants. The owners and everyone on site was very welcoming, we cant wait for our next trip there. And if you like fly fishing, there is also a lovely lake on site. Thankyou for a wonderful stay

Disliked My only grouch was, the grass at the side of our pitch where you put the awning or sit, was very uneven.
And my hubby likes to fish, but couldn't has its only fly fishing of which he doesn't do.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We liked every minute of our stay, from the fantastic greeting on our arrival, to the no fuss peaceful and stress busting break. The pitch was immaculate with electricity and water close by. For anyone with a disability, this site is perfect, wide open space with low cut grass. No steps or obstacles. The showers are of a wet room style, in individual rooms, on one level with no cubical to contend with. Farletonview’s tearoom, has food available if you want breakfast cooked for you, or even a lunch. The location is easily accessible from the motorway and close reach to the Lake District, averaging about 30 minutes to Windermere.

Disliked Didn’t stay long enough!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Everything! The site was easy to find and easy to access, the owners were really friendly and helpful, the views of the lake from our pitch were lovely and we had a really good sized pitch with electric hookup.
I was pleased there was an extra toilet block next to our pitch, as opposed to having to walk to the main block each time. The facilities were always clean and well stocked with toilet roll.

Disliked The only comment I have is that the water in the showers is a bit too hot and can't be adjusted, I did pass this comment onto the owners.
