What customers say
Highly recommended, spotless, well-kept site with large, level pitches. Immaculate, modern facilities, praised as first-class. Friendly owners are a highlight. Popular tearoom & nursery on-site. Peaceful, scenic, despite M6 proximity, though some note occasional road noise. Minor points: shower temp, Wi-Fi.

Liked What a lovely place to stay. Amazing pitches and a fantastic view. Excellent tea shop and a fantastic little plant nursery. On top of that I’ve never been welcomed on site before. Thank you.

Nice campsite, friendly and helpful owners, not great for lake access.
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked The pitch was hard standing with grass, fully serviced which was great. The shower/toilet facilities were modern and well equipped at rooms, a bit weird when the cafe was open, as non campers attending just for the cafe and garden centre are watching on as you approach and leave as it's part of the same building. Met and get was great, really friendly and helpful, line the scooter escort to put porch.
Location wise, great for M6 access, bit a lot of driving for us as we were visiting the lakes, so regret not staying further in near coniston etc.
Garden centre on site was great too, reasonable prices and good choice of plants.
Disliked Location, great for leaving day, not great for visiting the lake District unless you like driving around the lakes. Road noise at night was more prominent than I thought it would be, if on a tent, quite noticeable.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Great owners, great showers and toilets (yes a tad too hot for me) i do like mine a bit cooler, but that's me. Perfect pitches. Lovely views
Disliked the noise from the motor way, so when asked at the end of this review, this would be the only reason i wouldn't return

Liked Spacious clean pitch with hook ups nearby. Staph were wonderful and helped us hitch up the caravan when we were having difficulties. The showers were well equipped and lovely. It is a lovely, well kept site with views over the fishing lake and the cafe was a lovely bonus. Highly recommend.
