Thurston campsite is a quiet campsite on the East side of Coniston Water. Closely located to the villages of Coniston and Hawkshead, both having a variety of amenities and attractions. Situated in an old Victorian Walled garden, there are fantastic views of the Old Man of Coniston. There is no lake access from the campsite, nearest lake access is at Monk Coniston (1.2miles). The site has good toilet and shower facilities. Drinking water tap available. Parking available close to the pitches. There is a BBQ and cooking area for stoves. No fire pits, open fires or disposable BBQ's are permitted on site.

  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • Minimum spacing of 5 metres between pitches.
  • This is a quiet site: no music is allowed.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.
