What customers say
This is a tranquil, rural site with beautiful surroundings and riverside walks, popular for its peace and quiet. Facilities are basic, with a toilet and washing-up area available. Some guests found the site expensive for the limited amenities, particularly the lack of showers, though a manager comment in August 2025 indicates shower facilities are being considered. Despite some comments about the cleanliness of washing-up facilities, other guests described the toilet and facilities as spotless. The site offers level pitches and a communal fire pit, with easy access from the M6.

Small but pretty spot, close to m6.
Non-electric grass and gravel motorhome pitch
Liked Good, flat pitches in a convenient location near m6
Able to arrive late
Disliked Was a bit nervous driving in -
No signage to site and couldn’t find an email with directions (note to others - the van spaces are down the driveway to and past Warwick Hall B&b - and there is a loo in the building with an arch - a torch is handy to find sign if it is dark).
Didn’t find a drinking water tap, but did find a lovely lady who filled the kids’ water bottles.

Great place, but seems campers are bit of a low priority after-thought
Non-electric grass and gravel motorhome pitch
Liked The location and the grounds
Disliked -The offhand manner at welcome
-Not ‘disliked’ so much as confused: we knew no showers on site but were then surprised to hear when leaving that other campers had been able to use on site shower, and toilet. And when we went to look where the shower was, we found a lady using them was locked in the shows room, from the outside so she couldn’t get out: she had been locked in, and apparently shouting for assistance, for a half hour and more
‘Cleanliness’ rating below relates to the outdoors, not what we saw in shower/toilet/fish-wash areas….
- the riverside walk (which we had heard of before and wanted to do) being closed, according to notice boards, to protect nesting pheasants and such (which they surely wouldn’t have been doing at end August)

Unfriendly and unhelpful
Non-electric grass and gravel motorhome pitch
Liked Nothing
Disliked We were unable to make it to the campsite and tried to cancel, but when we rang the number cited on the listing a rude, unhelpful woman answered who immediately snapped it was the wrong number. When I explained our situation she sneeringly replied, 'Attention to details sorts the men from the boys.' Well, sort your listing out and make sure the right number is included. Glad we didn't make it. The portaloos didn't sound very enticing.
