Liked Great walking trails
Disliked Really bad owners, on arrival we was greeted by site manager who was welcoming and told us to pick where ever as we had the site to ours selfs throughout our stay, we followed all rules ensuring music was off by 10 and we was all in bed by 10.30, on the second day we went into Holmfirth and return around tea time and set up a gamer of rounders for ourselves and children who are from 4-8 yrs old, the site manager decided this would be a good time to cut the grass on his ride on mower, he came right up to my ankles whilst mower and went close up to the children whilst they was running for the ball, I find this to be very dangerous and bang out of order, we was later asked if we would stop our game so he could cut the area we was playing on. The following day again we had been out for most of the day and on returning the children where playing whilst we where sat down sorting tea and the owner sue marched over to us screaming and shouting that we had taken over her site and had bad attitudes, one of the group just turned away from her and she said and don’t you give me that attitude, we attempted to inform her we had followed the rules and that we was told to pitch any where and to line our cars up which we had done and she said if we don’t like it we can leave the site and went on to tell us we would not be welcomed back.
Throughout our stay we was made to feel intimidated and unwelcome, Susan’s attitude and way she speaks to her guests is disgusting, Susan her husband and the manager was continuously staring over at us and pointing making it very obvious they was talking about us.
The site is not safe for children to play in due to the manager cutting grass around you and feeling it is acceptable to come right up to your legs with the ride on lawn mower, never in all my years of camping have I ever known anything like that

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Possible the most relaxing weekend I have had this year! Despite the rain I was able to get out and about for some hikes in a stunning location and all accessible from the site. The dog had a great time as well. The site itself felt very safe and secure with a coded gate. The toilets and shower blocks were clean as was the washing up area. There is even a boot and dog washing area. To be honest, I was so tired after the walk, I didn’t notice the wind turbine at night. Such a friendly vibe! I will definitely be back.

Tidy Site, Towards the top of the valley.
Electric grass touring pitch
Liked Nice quiet site, located not far from a small woods which is great for walking the dog etc.
Site isn't too far from Holmfirth/bridge but still a 30+ minute walk but is a lovely walk with nice views!
Disliked We stayed during a storm (winds/rain) and due to its location and weather wasn't the most pleasant stay due to the lack of coverage across the pitches but this can't be helped!
