Liked: I liked the bathroom, shower and the security of the space.
Disliked: I didn't like it because we were in a group with 8 tents and it wasn't allowed to make a fire with the appropriate support, we took everything to make it and it wasn't allowed, it was cold, it would be great to have a fire.

Liked: Nothing!
Disliked: Thieves! They charged us for three nights and kicked us out next morning after arrival because our sausage dogs were barking from stress after long drive while we built our tent.
Felt like they're racists because we were the only foreigners at the site.
The same time other dogs were running around without a lead, which is against the rules!

From the manager: Thank you for your comments.
For all those who read this review -
We are not and have never been a racist site and have had many guest stay with us of different nationalities over the years.
However as a site we will not accept dogs that owners cannot control. That run at other guests children aggressively on site whilst passing there tent. Continuously bark and yap throughout the day and night.
Awake me in my home at 11pm by vicious barking to which I leap out of bed, get dressed and run to my site concerned that a dog fight is taking place.
To add to this we had a number of unhappy customers complain due to the constant barking of these dogs.
As I approached the owner with her dogs they proceeded to bark aggressively and pull on their chained! Leads. Both owners agreed that they could not stop there dogs from barking and behaving in this manner.
As a result of this and my concern for other guests, the customers were given the option to take the dogs away and continue their stay without them or all to leave site, which they chose to do.
Anyone regardless of race or nationality who bring dogs that behave in this manner to our site will be given the same option - remove the dogs or leave site. We will not tolerate this behaviour and make no apologies for this.

Liked: Showers, toilets and washing up area very clean and tidy. Water very hot for washing up. Nice spacious pitches.
Disliked: The 90’s rave on at the farm next door in the Saturday night that went on until midnight that we hadn’t been informed about. The extremely windy weather. The WiFi wasn’t working for the duration of our stay

Liked: The site was welcoming, clean and spacious. Friendly welcome by the owner who gave all details we needed. Bathrooms looked very clean and well equipped. The site wasn’t too busy. Great location for exploring the peaks.
Disliked: This is not a negative but just advice. Other reviews mentioned the wind turbine. This did not deter us and neither would it have bothered us. But… we did leave almost immediately because our dog was absolutely petrified by it. So please do visit this site but I wouldn’t advise it for anyone with a dog sensitive to noise. We absolutely couldn’t have stayed there with him - he was shaking and refused to leave the van and it wouldn’t have been fair. So do consider this point if you have a dog! But otherwise please do visit and I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful stay there!
