  • Simple campsite with moorland views 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford
  • The Piece Hall 15 minutes’ drive; Brontë Parsonage Museum 20 minutes
  • Grass pitches on a farm field; five minutes’ walk to the pub
Get back to nature with a down-to-earth camping adventure at Two Acre Camping, set in a farm meadow with far-reaching views over the wild moors of West Yorkshire, and 15 minutes’ drive from Bradford. There’s an abundance of local walks direct from the site, so you can exercise yourselves and any accompanying dogs in peaceful woodland or on nigh-deserted country lanes. For a typically friendly Yorkshire night out, take a leisurely stroll to the local foodie pub (five minutes’ walk), where you can tuck into fine beers and tempting pub food – and if you’re craving a curry, Bradford is of course the curry capital of the UK. Simple this place may be, but it’s all designed for your comfort and convenience, with fresh water access, easy cassette-emptying facilities and portable toilets. And you’ll be able to rest easy in your tent, knowing that the gate to the camping field is securely fastened at night.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Owners were so kind and welcoming! Really lovely area with a nice pub in walking distance. The toilet was cleaned and stocked regularly. Beautiful scenery with amazing walks to go on. Had an amazing time and would definitely stay again!

Disliked: No shower or sink (washing up station) although we made it work so it didn’t ruin our experience :D

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: So very close to urban life but felt quite rural. The flowers and areas look pretty so not just a field with a portaloo!! Secure electric gate - given a fob (£20 deposit ) for the gate. Fresh duck eggs and homemade Jam available Great field set down for parking area for tents. Short walk back up the road to the pub (I didn’t go as only there one night). Mick and Heather were very welcoming

Disliked: Drive a bit rough so be careful with some vehicles but my sprinter was ok.

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Quiet back to basics campsite. The owners were really helpful and friendly, you can tell they care about the site and their guests. The cows on the working farm next door providing entertainment :) Great location for either wandering the dales or exploring nearby Halifax, bus route from pub down lane (does a decent pint too).

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Basic, Beautiful and Pocket friendly, What a little gem! we had a wonderful two night stay here Mick and Heather are the perfect hosts from booking, to greeting and ensuring we had all we needed throughout our stay, the tub of outdoor toys were a huge hit with our children, we camped up top as we had a van with our tent but the woodland pitches were so beautiful within the trees and flowers, toilet clean and easy to use option of renting fire pits and bags of burning at a very reasonable price too! if we are in the area again we would absolutely come back, Thank you two acre, all the best as your campsite grows :)

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Owners hospitality was excellent from start to finish, very kind, friendly people. Choice of pitch in a semi wooded area or in the open. Views were brilliant, a footpath took us to the Great Northern Railway Trail along which we walked to Thornton Viaduct (was part of a scene in Last of the Summer Wine apparently) and then looped round to a beautiful view of the viaduct from School Woods. On the way back we stopped for tea and cake at Junction Lodge (open Weds to Sun 9-4). The campsite was quiet, portaloo was kept clean and there was a tap providing pleasant tasting drinking water. Also a disposal area is provided, and bins. For a semi-wild campsite it is perfect. Nearly forgot to mention that there were eggs and jam available in a little wooden box. Thank you Heather and Mick for creating such a great space.
