Makes you feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful

喜欢 Very peaceful. Within walking distance of the pub (10 mins) Wonderful view. Very friendly welcome. Would gladly stay again if it wasn't so far from us. We used it as an overnight stop on our way home from Whitby. There's everything you need except a shower & hot water.
Perfect place for a tent as they are sited in the woods that's in a hollow, perfectly protected from the wind.
There's an automatic gate that locked at night, so a safe place to be.
不喜欢 The lane down to it is a rough ride, 1st gear all the way. Entrance is narrow. Not a negative just a heads up.

喜欢 From start to finish Mick was friendly , helpful and accommodating. He couldn't do enough to help you . From delivering good quality logs, to access, to local advice , to maintaining the mess people would leave in the toilets Mick and his wife were excellent. Great location for walks along the old railway, especially to Thornton which has a few nice pubs and places to eat . Recommend the watchmaker for the best beer . Can easily walk to Queensbury, Clayton, Mountain etc on a variety of different walks. Pub at the top of the road was the junction inn and was okay but Thornton was better and we didn't get overcharged there !

不喜欢 Really is fab only thing IF I had to say would be the track bit rough for old cars lol but it is a farm land so its part and parcel I guess. No shower but its back to basic camping with security its fab tbh

喜欢 Lovely peaceful site beautiful views and great for my son on his bike.
Portaloos are kept nice and clean and there’s a fresh water tap too.
Owners are really friendly and happy to help if you need them anytime
