What customers say
This campsite boasts a great location, praised for its proximity to coastal towns and attractions. Visitors frequently highlight the friendly and helpful staff, as well as the excellent on-site pub with good food and entertainment. Pitches are generally considered spacious and well-equipped. While many found the facilities clean, some guests noted that the toilet and shower blocks are dated and could benefit from refurbishment. Occasional noise from the adjacent railway line was mentioned by some.

Good food and staff work hard but not a good site at all.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked The food at the pub
Disliked Pitches - very very small. Basically 1 normal sized pitch anywhere else split into 2. The info leaflet says to park your car within your pitch but this is actually impossible as only just enough space for caravan!
Toilet/shower block. Very dated and shabby
No WiFi on site despite being advertised as so on pitch up (only available in pub)
Owners dismissive attitude to genuine concerns

Lovely staff, level pitches , basic but clean toilet facilities.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Nice big pitch, and nice quiet site even though there were groups of families there. Pitch 20 was protected from the wind which was good, and we had both vehicles, MH & VW camper on the double pitch..
We didn't go in the pub but there was a singer on and Karaoke on Sat night
Amazing dog friendly walks to Felton, Amble & Warkworth, we were only there 2 nights so probably lots more walks around.
The toilets were clean and satisfactory but we think the site was a little overpriced.
Disliked Nothing to dislike really, a good weekend was had.

Lovely friendly small campsite, great walks in all directions.
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Nice little quaint quiet site with a lovely onsite pub so not far to walk! Pitches were of lovely size we had a double pitch so was easy to park up together. Ideal spot/base for walking to Felton, Amble and Warkworth - really lovely walks and safe to let dogs off lead no roads etc.
Disliked Thought the price per night was a little expensive for the facilities, though they were adequate we have paid the same price on many other sites when facilities have been immaculate or new.

Liked Excellent site on pub grounds. Owners very helpful and friendly could not do enough for us. Pitches level and big. With all amenities. Pub serves good food well worth a try.
Disliked Toilets very clean but could do with a spruce up and toilets cubicles making bigger.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked The toilets were clean didn’t use the showers
Disliked They didn’t now we had booked which was a little worring but found us a place. Bit of a pain you had to put a PIN code in to use them

Enjoyable stay and would go again.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Site, plenty of space between tents with good facilities for electric hook up and water. Good access to dog walks.
Pub food was good but a pity it closes on Mon & Tuesday.
Quiet site and dog friendly although couldn't walk dog on site?
Friendly, welcoming staff who were helpful on arrival.
Good location, close to Alnwick, a marina and other small villages, even a Morrisons close by.
Disliked Showers, although nice and hot the shower tray filled with dirty water so not nice standing in it. Washrooms clean though and plenty of privacy.
A lot of roads closed for repair so a little difficult to keep diverting to get to site.
Wi-fi connection but password in the pub so didn't see it till Wednesday, would be good to add it to arrival paperwork or have a sign somewhere.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Nice wee set up and handy being attached to the pub .
Disliked Facilities could do with a sprouse up a bit - stayed on a Sunday , stopped selling food at 4:30 so got caught out as would’ve had Sunday dinner there .

would not go again and would not recommend.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked location near to all of the coastal towns.
Disliked cigarette butts all around the tent pitch up area, the grass had them everywhere.
campers doing that are disgusting.
the site had not made any attempt to remove / clear up.
lots of litter also (no effort to clear up over the course of a week).
shower room in need of complete replacing. everything about is was either old, worn, broken and dirty. units, walls, vents, floor.
the name gives it away, you are directly next to a busy railway line that runs from very early and late in the night.
