A aimé Met by the owner on arrival and shown to our pitch. We dined in the pub and the food was excellent. Staff friendly and attentive. I had to drive to an event in Amble so couldn’t have a pint on this occasion.
Pitches separated partially by bushes which gives a degree of privacy. Facilities slightly dated but clean and tidy.
Hope to be back soon.

N'a pas aimé Not the sites fault but noisy drunks on the road outside woke us around midnight.
Railway was closed for engineering work on our visit so I can imagine noise from passing trains. As a railway enthusiast I can cope with that!

A aimé Friendly, easy access & quiet if you don’t mind trains (no problem for me).

N'a pas aimé Shower was actually hot & strong but the whole block is not in a good state of repair. Owner fully aware & apologised in advance but a reduction in fee would be fair until this is upgraded.

A aimé The campsite is lovely. The bar staff were lovely and friendly.

N'a pas aimé The toilets and showers were not very clean. The women's toilets have a foul smell of fish in them, especially the end two toilets. Turned your stomach.
The bins outside were disgusting the flies around them and the smell was rotten. No dog walking onsite makes life awkward and you have to go out on to the main road and to find a dog walking area but you still have to walk your dog onsite to find it. Seems pointless. A little over priced for the facilities available, food and drink in the pub bit pricey.

N'a pas aimé Pitch was ok but sloping. Toilet blocks and area had not been cleaned before or during our time there. Floors were dirty.

Although aware it was near a train station wasn’t expecting trains to run as frequently as they did

A aimé Pitches were decent size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pub was great with excellent food. Facilities could have been in better condition but otherwise fine.

A aimé The staff were so helpful and thoughtful the food was excellent quality and generous portions Henry was very welcoming and helpful .

A aimé Very quiet,great location for Amble and Warkworth castle,grass area nice and flat. Pub food great.... Salmon on specials board was excellent 👌. Yes there is a mainline railway nearby but you hardly notice it (train spotters delight) staff in pub really nice and owner honest and down to earth bloke 👍all in all We're definitely go back. Dogs welcome too,keep on lead.
