Plush Ord House Country Park is set on 42 peaceful, tree-lined acres of private parkland at East Ord, within 10 minutes’ drive of gorgeous Northumberland countryside, historic Berwick-upon-Tweed and sandy Spittal Beach on the North Sea. It’s also easy to access for anyone travelling north or south, as the main A1 is just five minutes away. A whole bunch of facilities at this leafy, landscaped site will make life very easy for you indeed. Travelling with the kids? If your toddlers have energy to burn off, there’s a soft-play centre where they can have a run around, while older kids can keep busy on the playground, activity area and games field. If you’re after a bit of grown-up downtime, simply drift off to the elegant adults-only lounge bar for some peaceful R&R; otherwise head to the family-friendly main bar or book the informal Ord House Lounge Bar and Grill, where there’s a designated kids’ zone. Prettily landscaped pitches are all neatly delineated by clipped hedges. Practical on-site amenities include a laundry service with coin-operated washing machines and dryers, a dish-washing and veg-prep area, and pristine tiled showers in spacious family bathrooms with hair dryers and shaving points.

Liked: Site is welcoming with beautiful shrubbery and plants, pitches well spaced out, wash facilities very good, location excellent, pub/restaurant on site, reception staff friendly.

Disliked: Ladies toilets sink taps splash everywhere. One of the two hairdryers was not working.

Liked: Loved everything about Ord House. The campsite is beautifully maintained, with a great dog walk around the perimeter. This was much better than the usual dog field. Warden was a visible presence and contact details along with other useful information was provided on arrival.
The bar and grill served lovely food with large portions which were enjoyed by everyone. The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Facilities including mini golf and the kids play area were great too.
We took a walk into Berwick town centre which was very pleasant and not too far.
We'll definitely be back 😊

Disliked: WiFi was available at extra charge.

Liked: The pitches were well set out, close to shower and Kitchen block. The bathroom /toilet facilities very clean and tidy and regularly maintained. Good on site Bar & Restaurant with friendly staff. Also Adults Only bar area for a quiet evening drink.

Wi-Fi was a good connection with fast speeds, although do charge for longer than 30minutes.

Disliked: No on-site shop available, for those essentials that get forgotten. Although a large supermarket within 10 minute walk.

Liked: Shower facilities very good, site layout in small groupings made it feel a little smaller with trees, hedges and walls between areas.
Good outside play area for 10 & 12 year old children.

Disliked: No shop at reception so couldn't buy a jar of coffee when ran out, we only stayed one night and didn't really use the bar/bistro.

Mighty Bamburgh Castle (25 minutes’ drive) is open for guided tours, while Alnwick Castle (35 minutes) is famed for its exotic Poison Garden and Harry Potter film locations. You can nip across the causeway to Holy Island (25 minutes) and tour the castle and cathedral, or stretch your legs on a wander around the 16th-century walls of Berwick-upon-Tweed (five minutes). Sneak across the border into Scotland to potter around rooms stuffed with priceless Chippendale furniture at Palladian-era Paxton House (10 minutes), or make for Marchmont House to wander its wondrous gardens (half an hour). Spectacular Floors Castle (40 minutes) has a series of opulent apartments to discover, along with a walled garden and scenic walks along the River Tweed. Experiencing cultural overload? Sail forth onto the North Sea for dolphin-spotting expeditions or Farne Islands cruises to see puffins and seals from Seahouses (35 minutes). Happier on dry land? Arrivals and departures

Late arrivals must notify the park as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to relet your unit.
No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
Units will be allocated on arrival.

Changes to your holiday

Bookings cannot be amended within 1 day(s) of arrival.

Dogs

Dogs are prohibited from main facilities and amenities.
Dogs must be kept on leads and supervised at all times.
