What customers say
Stablefell Campsite is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful rural location in the Yorkshire Dales, offering spectacular views. Visitors consistently highlight the spacious, well-marked pitches, excellent and immaculately clean modern facilities including hot showers, and the friendly, accommodating owners. Amenities such as the on-site shop, available coffees and croissants, and delicious homemade pizzas are popular. The presence of free-roaming chickens and pet goats is a particular hit with children. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, minor points include the occasional lack of phone signal and the need for guests to be aware of the ad-hoc nature of pizza nights and to book in advance. The site's quiet atmosphere, adherence to quiet hours, and abundance of wildlife are frequently mentioned as key advantages.

Excellently clean site, stunning scenery, quiet, peaceful, lovely hosts
Non-electric grass tent pitch (super)
Liked Very large, spacious flat pitches, all were cut short with a firepit within. Beautiful hillsides all around the camp. The site was very clean and the shower/toilet facilities were excellently kept. Jo is very friendly and knowledgeable on the area for walks etc. . There are 4 walks you can do starting from camp so no need to drive anywhere.. they range from 2 hour walks up to 6 hour walks. A goat pen was cute for little one's to see and there are friendly chickens that roam and come to (and into) your tent. Very quiet, peaceful and picturesque with friendly hosts. Would recommend to everyone, you won't be disappointed.
Disliked Not a dislike, more of a heads up. Unfortunately one of my dogs didn't like the chickens coming near us but that is my dogs issue, not a fault from Jo or the campsite! All dogs are to be kept on a tether outside your tent and rightfully so,it is the chickens home/land, but just be aware these chickens are super friendly and will come into your space dog or not so be prepared for a possible dog/chickens run :)

Superb little site
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Everything! Expected a remote & basic site - delighted to find warm, cosy toilet block with (free!) showers & hairdryer, freezers (for blocks) and little shop for supplies & firewood. Coffees & croissants available in mornings / pizzas to order on evenings. Pitches marked by strips of long grass - both clever and scenic. Real campfires in each pitch combined with totally enclosed valley of dales scenery a total winner. Kids loved the free roaming chickens & pet goats. Lovely, smiley friendly owners. We will be back 😍
Disliked The only thing I could POSSIBLY think of was that the main gate needed lifting a little bit over the rocks to get in and out, but that is all!

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Stablefell Campsite is absolutely fantastic and, without a doubt, the best campsite we’ve ever stayed at. The location is brilliant, situated perfectly between Hawes and Aysgarth, with plenty to see and do nearby. There are also lots of great pubs just a short drive away.
Jo and her partner are incredibly friendly and genuinely can’t do enough for you. The toilets and facilities are immaculate and very modern, which really adds to the experience.
The free-roaming chickens are such a lovely touch and are incredibly friendly — they’ll happily come right up to your tent! There’s also a reasonably priced essentials shop on site, which is really convenient.
The pitches are huge and separated by longer, uncut grass, giving you a lovely sense of privacy. The views are absolutely beautiful and the whole site has such a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere.
Another lovely touch was the two goats on site, who are playful little characters and great fun to watch.
We would stay here again in a heartbeat and would highly recommend Stablefell Campsite to anyone looking for a beautiful, friendly and peaceful place to stay.

From the manager: Thankyou for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your stay.
With regards to charging your phone this is a service we do not advertise that we have. We sell chargers for your car to charge them yourself as we explained but our insurance doesn't cover this.
