This is a well-maintained and peaceful site with spacious pitches and clean facilities, including family bathrooms. Staff are consistently praised for being friendly and helpful. The on-site cafe and nearby cricket club are popular additions. While generally quiet, some guests noted occasional noise disturbances. Camping pod (five person)
Liked We stayed in a pod with a 7, 6 and nearly 2 year old. Very clean, quiet and safe for children. They loved the animals on the farm and the cafe for ice cream. We visited the park within walking distance and stockeld park. Would love to come back and stay longer, thankyou

A lovely site , highly recommended , short distance to York
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked A lovely quiet , clean site , clean toilet / shower block , a grassy walk around the site , a cafe on site unfortunately we didn't get round to trying it out but it looked nice inside . definitely a site to revisit
Disliked Unfortunately a regular visitor who stored their caravan on site and also had his favourite pitch it would seem decided that he doesn't need to keep his dog on a lead ( even though there are signs everywhere and we were also told on arrival )and when it attacked both myself and my dog( who was on a short lead) proceeded in hurling abuse at us .

However I am very sorry to hear about the incident with the dog and wish that I had known about this at the time so that we could have addressed the issue. As you quite rightly point out, we try and prevent incidents like this happening at all costs. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
Best wishes from The Alders Team.

Liked Beautiful location, privacy, clean toilets and showers. The staff were all lovely, and the site was very peaceful, while also being child friendly. The pod we stayed in was clean and perfect for our needs, with a large field for our toddler to play in. Would stay again!
