York House Caravan Park is praised for its excellent location, ideal for exploring Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay, with good bus links. Disliked The bathroom had a lot of water on the floor.

Nice site, safe place for kids, not very peaceful
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Loved the cafe/bar. Drink prices were very reasonable & although the menu was only small the food was fantastic. The breakfasts are delicious & huge.
Proximity to Whitby is great.
Pub within walking distance although we didn't try it.
All the facilities you could need with plenty of toilets & showers.
Very friendly welcome.
Disliked Unfortunately we were pitched near the crossroads so all vehicles & many people passed by us.
It's a family site & we should have known better, but the noise of the kids shouting their friends, parents shouting at them & then on their scooters (hard plastic wheels on tarmac - Chinese torture) & bikes going by seemed relentless well into the evening, eg. 10pm.
We were booked in for 4 nights but after 3 nights of it we'd had enough & left.
We'd travelled for 4 hours to get there, so was disheartened.

Nice campsite,
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Stayed on gravel/hard standing. Not far from the toilets, chemical waste, and grey disposal. The sunsets were amazing! The bus stop was really close with busses to Whitby, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay.
The staff were lovely too.
Disliked Nothing

There was a lovely view in…
Electric optional grass tent pitch (large)
Liked There was a lovely view in areas of the park and close proximity to Whitby and nice walks.
Disliked The uneven pitch for us to pitch our tent up. The shower and toilet area was only closed for cleaning once a day and it used by multiple people. Bar/ cafe closed at 5pm and would have been better during the holidays for it to stay open later

In a good location, kids enjoyed…
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked In a good location, kids enjoyed park. Bar area was nice and staff were friendly.
Disliked Toilets/shower blocks were disappointing. As soon as you open the ladies toilet door you’re smacked in the face with the smell of urine (dread to think what the men’s smell like).
No hand soap at the sinks for the entire time we were there, we arrived at 3pm (toilet blocks are closed between 11am/12 for cleaning) and left at 10:30 the next morning.
I didn’t look in the showers, but the floor in the toilets were swimming with water from the shower cubicles.
Grassed area wasn’t well maintained, looked untidy everywhere.
Couldn’t pick any WiFi up anywhere.
Cafe is only open Friday/Saturday and bar closed at 5pm, shame when weather was lovely and had loads of people sat outside!
I think it’s steep for £40 a night.
