What customers say
This is a clean and well-maintained site with friendly, helpful staff and good facilities. It's praised for its excellent location, offering easy access to Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay via walking or public transport. Many guests appreciate the spacious pitches, clean shower blocks, and on-site cafe/bar. Some visitors noted the extra charge for electricity and occasionally found pitches to be on a slope or close together.

Well maintained, friendly site in a decent location.
Electric optional gravel touring pitch
Liked Easy check in. Friendly efficient staff. Good location for walks on the Cleveland Way or walks/cycle along The Cinder Path to Whitby and Robins Hoods Bay and beyond. Nice on site bar which serves good pub grub Friday -Sunday. I've read complaints about extra charge for electricity but our pitch had £3 credit already in place of which we spent £2 during our 4 night stay in a Campervan. Our pitch was level and well maintained. Shower were hot and toilets clean. It's a family site so if you don't like to hear kids having fun go somewhere else.
Disliked Shop quite poor, stock up before arrival. Shower button has to be continuously pressed or the flow stops. It's quite expensive £45 per night for hard standing pitch with electric a little extra.

Well appointed site but very poor value for money
Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Location is excellent- halfway between Whitby and Robin Hood bay with easy access for walkers and cyclists via cinder track or coastal path (walkers). Good bus service.
Disliked Poor value for money. £90 for two nights then had to pay extra for electricity. Motorhome pitches very small - with an awning you are virtually touching the next vehicle. Toilets/showers outdated and showers not even working on one of the mornings we were there.

Lovely site and great location but expensive for the facilities.
Electric optional gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch
Liked Location was great, really close to Whitby, pitches decent size and site spacious.
Disliked The shower and toilet facilities need updating and the showers often did not work which was very frustrating.

Would we visit again? Yes, but book the non-electric pitch.
Electric optional grass tent pitch (large)
Liked The environment was very clean. Staff helpful. Not much road traffic noise. Secure. Near to Whitby 199 steps and main town. Near to Robin Hood Bay.
Disliked Pitches are too close. You will hear your neighbour snoring.
