Not for hay fever sufferers.
Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch (adults only)
Liked Good location to explore the local area attractions etc.
Quiet with nice walks, friendly staff.
Clean & tidy.
Disliked Shower cubicles small and a bit dated, not really anywhere to put clothes etc while showering, one hook and a plastic stool provided - poor.
The clue is in the name "Plantation" the pitches are mostly set amongst the trees, we found ourselves sneezing and coughing, then we noticed the yellow clouds of pollen falling from the trees which stained everything an orangey yellow and made everything sticky to the touch, as with other campers we spent a lot of time trying to clean our motorhome and outside equipment but it was a loosing battle, because we now have to deep clean everything we wouldn't return at least not in the spring early summer, later in the year maybe.

Lovely site, would go back but not great for kids.
Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Clean site well maintained very friendly staff and large pitches for the money.
Disliked Showers were extremely hot, too hot for our baby and toddler and even myself. They closed one whole shower block while we were there and reception opening times was very difficult for people staying on site as closed certain days and on days it’s open you can only go up during a 2 hour slot in the morning.

Liked First time staying here and received a very warm welcome. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The site itself was quiet and spotless. Shower and toilet block were extremely clean. Pitches were spacious and set in beautiful grounds. Local pubs just 25 minute walk away. Some great walks in and around the site. Would highly recommend.

From the manager: Thank you for your review.
As per our listing the name advises we are a plantation and as a woodland caravan park, all our pitches sit amongst trees with varying degrees of shade and sunlight. Many of our guests value this.
We do appreciate that this won't suit everyone so please take note of this prior to booking, especially if full, uninterrupted sunshine is a priority with your holiday.
Regarding mobile signal, coverage in rural and wooded areas can vary and this is out of my control.
Wi-Fi is provided via a third party supplier due to the limitations of our rural location, and as such there is a charge for its use, we do try and advise guests of this when booking and appreciate it may not meet everyone's expectations.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope you're able to find a location that better matches your preferences in the future.
Thanks
Lisa
