Excellent, back to basics, clean toilets, no showers...(Who cares)
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Such a gem of a place. Right next to the New Inn public house..( right result), food is out of this world, generous portions are an understatement, and the quality, second to none in my opinion.
Site manager and his wife were fantastic, after a bit of a mishap with our tent, they offered their help and advice which was greatly appreciated. Can't believe it took me to be this old before discovering this place, and we are definitely coming back......had to, bought a new tent 😂.
All round, highly recommend this place for peace, quiet and oh....nearly forgot. Their Compton's Classic beer is brilliant too. Go on, give it a look. Toilets but no showers, so don't go looking for them or complaining when you realise there ain't any. Site has no electric either, but camping is back to basics.
Disliked Nothing.....cept British Weather....... 😂 😂 😂

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked The new inn is a lovely pub. Friendly staff and good prices.
Site protected from wind by trees.
Proximity to the pub.
Disliked Someone arguing most of night, obviously not the sites fault but the questions about the stay.

Friendly staff and next to a good pub with great beer.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Really relaxed camping. The toilet block is small but sufficient for the number of campers. We could pick our spot so we tried a few before we settled on where to park our van.

Great pitch but remember your ear plugs!
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Great field with lots of space. Friendly staff at the pub, which does fabulous food! We could choose our pitches and the toilets were clean.
Disliked This is not a quiet site!! The other camping field had been booked out by a large group of bikers, who were playing loud music and shouting until dawn broke.. not conducive to a good night’s sleep! I’d be prepared to give it another go as it may just have been an unfortunate coincidence that the other group were so noisy.
