This is a basic, peaceful campsite offering excellent value for money, located in a rural setting ideal for stargazing. Pitches are spacious and flat, with toilets and water provided. The attached New Inn pub is highly praised for its friendly staff, great beer, and food. While facilities are simple, many guests appreciate the back-to-basics experience and would return.

It's silly money. Close to use as a base for driving around the area.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked It's a glade shaded by trees. People park in a circle around the outer rim. There is a toilet but I didn't visit. Mainly because I didn't want to be put off from visiting again ( which I will be doing ).
It's cheap and perfect for my needs. Very relaxing. Pub is very close for a pint and a meal. All of this gets very mixed reviews online. Looking on Google some rave about the place and other a the polar opposite. I don't know if this is down to expectations.
The menu is not the cheapest I've seen but it is varied. Beer garden is good. Lovely village to walk through. I'm looking forward to returning.
Disliked Campsite one sign is hidden when the gate is open. That baffled me for a while. Other than that I have no negatives to report.

Toilets are basic as expected, previous reviews mentioned no toilet rolls and no locks on the toilet, there was toilet rolls and locks.
The pub/brewery is only 100m down the road, really friendly staff, beer is amazing and cheap.

Perfect pitch for the weekend other than that it is what it is..
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Overall lovely location, surrounded by wooded areas and a small quarry wall. great beer and food in the pub, friendly and helpful staff.
Disliked No showers, toilets could do with an upgrade or even some new ones, maybe not shared facilities.
Been an old quarry the ground is solid and rocky to get tent pegs in, probably more suited for vans, motorhomes or tent box on car but with good pegs you’ll get fine.

Could be great ….. but!
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked The site is really quiet and peaceful. It is extremely basic with toilets and water provided, but as we didn’t want anything fancy it seemed the perfect spot. The pub was an added bonus with friendly staff and great food.
Disliked The toilets are disgusting, no toilet roll and don’t look like they’ve been cleaned for weeks, the smell was horrendous.
