What customers say
This campsite offers peaceful riverside walks and a popular on-site pub serving excellent, reasonably priced food, particularly the Sunday carvery. Pitches are generally level and spacious. While many praise the friendly owners and staff, some guests noted that toilet and shower facilities could be cleaner and are coin-operated. Improvements to shower duration and accessibility have been mentioned. Despite some minor issues, guests often express a desire to return.

Lovely little site
Electric grass pitch
Liked Spacious, super quiet, pub was fab, food was amazing. Everyone who worked there was so friendly. Toilets always spotless, very laid back feel.
Disliked The only thing we didn’t like so much was paying £1 for 2 mins warm water on shower was difficult with small children, however I’m assuming this is a sustainability measure which I appreciate. Would not stop us returning we loved it!

Electric grass pitch
Liked We had a great stay at The Half Moon Inn campsite.
The showers were nice and hot and the toilet facilities clean.
We chose this site as it meant we could meet up with family locally.
We ate in the pub each day and enjoyed the Sunday Carvery. The pub staff are very friendly as well as the locals who we spoke to.
We enjoyed walking along the river bank and visited Blacktoft Sands while we were there which we would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely pub site in pretty village which is great for a short getaway
Electric grass pitch
Liked Quite site mainly situated on the banks of the river Ouse . Walks from site with big skies and beautiful views. Bus service stops outside the pub to take you to Goole which is 3 miles away . Basic toilet facilities, fresh drinking water and chemical toilet emptying. Food in the restaurant was excellent and plentiful. We ate on Friday evening and had their wonderful carvery on Sunday before setting off for home. staff were friendly. We were. met by Andy, the owner on arrival and saw him around over the weekend cleaning etc. We didn’t use shower which is extra charge of£1.00 as have own on board.
Disliked This is obviously a popular site for several families to meet up for a weekend and they were quite loud at times but were quiet by 11pm .
Downside for us was no drive over grey waste disposal and the emptying point was too high for our drain hose so will invest in a water hog for next time. Pity some campers have no etiquette regarding rubbish as there were cigarette bits all over our pitch which as non smokers we found disappointing especially given the dry hot weather we have had and risk to nature.
