Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Well organised site with immaculate heated toilets and shower. Owners really friendly and helpful, free use of kettle and microwave if needed. Calm and quiet pitch. Very relaxing and will definitely be back

From the manager: Thank you, Tracey, for posting such a great review - and with lovely photos. Hope the coastal walk was good fun & you enjoyed your visit to Bridlington Old Town. Sorry you found wifi signal weak - I wonder if you were using the on-site repeater or just 4G?

Lovely site. Really quiet and peaceful great countryside views. Excellent clean toilets…

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked: Lovely site. Really quiet and peaceful great countryside views. Excellent clean toilets and showers and good kitchen with kettle toaster etc and washing machine. Really nice welcoming owner who is very helpful too. Will return when weather better!

Disliked: Site was boggy but after almost constant rain for months hardly surprising!

Local attractions

There’s some lovely scenery to explore around the chalk hills of the Yorkshire Wolds, so it’s a fine area for a walk or a bike ride. If you’d like to get around in a different way, you could sign up for horse riding from Woldgate Trekking & Livery Centre (20 minutes’ drive) or take a heritage railway ride from the Yorkshire Wolds Railway museum (10 minutes). This area is rich in historic buildings to visit too – your stately home tour might take you to places like Sledmere House (10 minutes), Burton Agnes Hall (15 minutes), Castle Howard (35 minutes) and Burton Constable Hall & Grounds (40 minutes). For green-fingered types, Burnby Hall Gardens (25 minutes) is the place to go, with lakes, a walled garden and an Edwardian rock garden. For days out with the kids, try a Highland cow safari at Dumble Farm (20 minutes), traditional seaside antics at Bridlington beach (25 minutes) or a look at underwater life at The Deep aquarium in Hull (45 minutes).
